this part "So the Sony Handycam DCR-HC96 makes a fine camera for typical 4x6 snapshots, but for sports events, small kids, or shots that you may want to enlarge, you'll want to use a real camera." the part "rela camera" really botters me.
its a good camcorder which produce great videos and good pictures, but a camera (for pictures) will do a better job for pictures. this is the same with all videocamcorders.

I want to buy a miniDV camero to start making short films, did you recomend this camera? I've found the review of CNET good but frustating at the end, at least you have the experience.

at the moment you wont get a better cam in this pricerange. yes, i can recommend it.
