  • All those assholes that thought Arcade Fire didn't deserve the grammy for best album because they have never heard of them before need to listen to this

  • I'm a native Brooklynite and I say u out a towners keep out!! No rococo allowed! You will be robbed! U already get robbed by your landlords and u will b beat up and robbed of your iPhones on driggs and that ugly bridge! Get out! Go back to the burbs! Go past New Jersey! Do OHIO!

  • I live an hour away from Madison and only a few other people I know besides me have heard of Arcade Fire. Most people in my town listen to rap or country.

  • @Mrbob9999999999

    1. Thats the single worse attempt at like garnering ever.

    2. CTRL+F Betch.

  • I am consistently amazed by this bands depth of sound and just over all crescendos of awesome, just started listening to them recently.

  • This is one of the most important bands in my life. From the first to the last album they're proving their greatness and musical artistry. It's magic, I love them so much. And now rococo rococo<3

  • I saw these guys live last summer, they were amazing and everyone was singing along this this. At the end when we were all leaving, everyone started singing it again, it sounded amazing.

  • My sis told me rococo was an art movement where her art teacher in college wouldnt even cover it because it was such brief and stupid movement that it wasnt worth mentioning lol.

  • @Yardy1234 Well mozart is considered by many a rococo, painer Antoine Watteau is a roccoco . That painting of a girl on the swing is also roccoco. Françoi Boucher etc.

  • First time hearing these guys, damn this is some good shit.

  • if arcade fire makes me a hipster im a total hipster. A TOTAL HIPSTER.

  • I'm a huge Arcade Fire fan and I assume you people are to so why are you attacking me?

  • I live in Northern Virginia near DC and dont know even one person thats even heard of this band or any indie music for that matter.

  • @erotickledom Then you must live in a Rococo town... Lol, jk.

  • okay the hipster comment was referring to the people in the song NOT the people who listen. However, if you like Arcade Fire you probably are a hipster and just dont know it. Thats what makes you hip. duhhhhh!

  • Excelente canci☻n!

  • hey man, for all the dudes dissin hipsters. cmon guys. we aint posers wer just different. and if you cant exept peoples differences than you have to go back to like the 3rd grade. we dont listen to indie to be posers we listen cuz it kicks ass. live and love on guys. we all bros here.

  • Fucking brilliant

  • BEST ALBUM SINCE MUSIC DIED AFTER THE 90s...

  • Love Arcade Fire!!

  • bliss. <3 ahhh...

  • Stolen from God's iPod..

  • im not really a hipster but i will admit i do love arcade fire and bands like this.. i get sick of those lame artist who use auto tune and get called a good singer. like wtf ever happened to real bands and real music...?

  • I'm 15 , Arcade Fire is my favorite band and I'm in a band that plays metal :) Problem?

  • @Platifiy lol, you're so corny.

  • @Chloroform And you get the fuck back into the kitchen :3

  • @Platifiy oh, gud 1.

  • @Platifiy i have problems of all various kinds what do you want to know?

  • @11xzxzxz 0.o

  • @Platifiy You have a great head for numbers.

  • Amazing. I love Arcade fire...at first when i heard their music i didnt like it but it really grows on you, im sorry I didn't give them enough of a chance

  • Best song on the Suburbs. Far and away

  • a hipster is just a conforming nonconformist .

  • This song is freaking addicting....Each time I listen to it I want more of it......Most Arcade Fire songs seem to be that way but especially this song....!

  • This song and Half Light I sound like mexican rancheras. I don't like rancheras but i can stand the reference because Arcade Fire rules

  • Is it just me or in nearly every indie song it's almost impossible to understand the damn words. But you love it anyways?

  • My dog's named Rocko, and I always called him Rockoco (pronounced same as this song). Then this week I start getting into this band, and I hear this song. ;o //cool story no one cares about that im posting cause im damn bored

  • plz make a new album.

  • Wonderful job !

  • this song is great because after listening to it it I was all "rococorococorococo" everywhere I went to today

  • There is a guitar riff in this that I swear I heard in a Built to Spill song. It's the kind of spiral guitar sound. It's been bothering the heck out of me. Anyone know the Built to Spill song name?

  • Try liking this whilst pressing the shift key

  • Just wanna put this out there, you don't have to be a hipster to listen to indie, you don't have to be a gangster to listen to rap, you don't have to be a 15-year old girl to listen to beiber, no matter what kind of music it is, it's still music and should be enjoyed by anyone that likes it. You don't have to live a certain way to enjoy whatever your opinion on good music is. If you read all of this, thanks for your time

  • @philli54321 FINALLY SOMEONE WHO GETS IT.

    - white girl who probably listens to more rap than you. (:

  • @sammyfofanny lol good to know that there are more people out there that think this way ^^

  • @philli54321 no but you do have to be intelligent to avoid top 40 mainstream shit

  • amazing band

  • Since i clicked on this song let it get in your head because i clicked on it and let the lyrics of the song i clicked on flow in your head and in turn make an action that resembles the song.

    Go for it.

  • found it!!!

    "cold wind"! :)

  • shit

i can't find that very famous a.f ballad! (can't remember the title)

...but is one of the most famous song from them , i remember just a lil bit of the text

"if you go to s.francisco" ....sorry for the lack of memory :(

  • @pontello3 cold wind?

  • @pontello3 haha didnt see you already found it

  • ten rokokowy styl!

  • rococo is a form of generally sculpture form art that focuses on blatant Asymmetrical elements...naturally a word that the modern kids would not understand

  • @fucknamenumbers Hold you're prejudiced tongue! I'm a so-called "modern kid" and I understand what "rococo" is! I don't know if they actually mean the art-style from the renesance. I can't really hear the rest of the lyrics you see. Still great-sounding song though.

  • @Duckieperson The Rococo movement occurred a few centuries after the High Renaissance. They are quite different.

  • @fucknamenumbers learned about it a few weeks ago, I think I know what it means, thank you.

  • @fucknamenumbers a word that most people that dont take an interest in art history wouldnt understand, i doubt very much that its reserved to "modern kids", unless you use that term for the last century or so of kids

  • This song is not about Rocco Siffredi.

  • Just because we're human.

    We have to be stereotyped.

  • For all you hipster posers out there that only listen to indie because you're a poser this song is about hipsters. lol

  • @angrybeaversfan you just gave the hipsters more of a reason to be a hipster, fuck, their gonna multiply man.

  • @angrybeaversfan Win has said on numerous occasions that this song has nothing to do with that.

  • @angrybeaversfan I think this goes a lot deeper than pointing out the faults in a certain fad of hating on "hipsters". Too me, I think this song speaks about the lack of knowledge and enthusiasm to learn within modern youth culture. Win's voice holds such strong connotations of pity for times to come. Maybe i'm reading into it to much but that's just my opinion.

  • @Porterrlu I like your interpretation. Even more then mine. :)

  • @Porterrlu I completely agree. That's a wonderful interpretation.

  • @angrybeaversfan So.. why are you here?

  • @MaxwellAndCompany Hahaha trust me I'm NOT a hipster. XD

  • @angrybeaversfan Hahah every hipster denies they are not;)

  • @MaxwellAndCompany

Yeah that's only so they can keep getting called that. There's more crap in this world to worry about then being nonmainstream. Plus, their always contradicting themselves.

  • @angrybeaversfan you dont choose to be hip or cool. it something you just are based on your personal pop culture likes and dislikes. Its also subjective to perception. You could think your not but liking obscure cutting edge music would make you hip in the eyes of some people and a nerd to others.

  • I named my cat after this song

  • 1080pHD !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can't say you don't love canadiean music!

  • epic violin

  • Arcade Fire is the renaissance of music after the Beatles left

  • this song is like a drug

  • I've just gone downtown, over there, in Montreal

  • your only a hipster is you dont say you are

  • Rococo rococo

  • 2:54 That is the most epic 'Rococo'. I like the way he yells it like if it was the deepest and strongest word in the song!!!!! wow 9_9

  • It's funny how hipsters made this song.

  • So I must say, as a huge lover of pop music and hip hop.... I find something EXTREMELY refreshing about this song.... I can't put my finger on it exactly but I love everything about this song!

  • Listened to this album during my daily commute across Toronto's outer suburbs this summer. Coupled with Rush's "Subdivisions" it was the perfect match for the scenery.

  • its funny how youtube is, the shit pop songs with 50+million views will be forgotten by all who viewed it by next month. this isnt just a song, its a fucking master piece, that will never be forgotten by those who viewed it.

  • @superscubadave1 WELL FUCKING SAID.

  • @superscubadave1 your comment better get more likes because it deserves more

  • @justdontforgetmyname i am humbled by your comment, but the music deserves the credit, i signed up for youtube just so i could make that comment, and i clicked the 'like' just below the play button, what im wondering now is why the fuck isnt there 500 and some thousand likes for this video?

  • @superscubadave1 you know whats funny is youre right, I refused to listen to arcade fire and when i did....holy shit they just stuck with me....and i dont even like this kind of shit lol, now they have become an obsession

  • @superscubadave1 Arcade Fire are pretty mainstream. You should know this.

  • @RapidEyesCream Why should I? last time i checked, i wasnt a mainstream media expert, hell i only started listening to them after chirstmas 2010.

  • I heard this in an American Eagle store... I listen to Metal, Dubstep, J Rock, J Pop and other things similar to that. My mom was shopping in there, not me.

  • oh mon dieu juste vos yeules pis ecouteer la toune criss

  • @WeedandShit1 hahahaha!!!! j'aime ça

  • I"m currently on a quest to listen to the so called Grammy Award for Album of the Year. I'm doing this because I don't want to be an ignorant tool who rejects a band because he's never heard of them. I'm Canadian and I've never even heard of them until the Grammy's. I hope the next songs are better because I am not convinced. This album has only made it as high as #12. It is a joke. The singer sucks and all the instrumentation is plain as prison walls.

  • @Althalus1990 You're Canadian and you have never heard of them?!?!

I think the singer doesn't sucks, so he have an original kind of voice.

  • @Meldonify why do you even care about a comment of ''Althalus1990'' person? you can't convince avril lavigne fan to respect arcade fire, and you shouldn't.

  • @Meldonify Indie music doesn't get around in Canada very fast man. Our indie fans are very selfish.

  • @Althalus1990 What sort of bands to you think superior to these guys? Just curious. I want to see where you're coming from.

  • @Althalus1990 I kinda agree, the music is different but kinda dull. Surburban war is a really great track though

  • @Althalus1990 Why do you post this on each Arcade Fire video?

If you don't like it, bugger off.

  • @Althalus1990 It's not so called it is the Grammy Album of The Year

  • @koolman65490 : The people who have judged what is the album of the year are very misguided people if you look at most of the history of the prize. More often then not more popular music gets put aside to promote less known and/or mediocre bands that have achieved "some" success. Logically, this shouldn't happen considering the title of the award. Album of the Year,,,,basically meaning the BEST album. Therefore, the people who judge the album are useless. There shouldn't be a judge.

  • @koolman65490 continued - It should be judged on a statistic. like ALBUM SALES OVER THE WHOLE YEAR LEADING UP TO THE AWARD SINCE THE DAY AFTER THE LAST AWARD.

  • @nolovelost92 Y'know ... there's something so refreshing about your comment.

While I might disagree, I can't help but do it respectfully. You didn't use profanity; You didn't use excessive grammar, or chat-speak. You simply and bluntly stated your mind with the intent of having your opinion heard.

You didn't take it a step too far. You didn't offend people of all races and statuses.

Thank you for that refreshing reminder that, despite the fact we're on the internet, we are still human.

  • @Inkblot1218 Yeah, I agree. It's so much nicer to read decent comments.

  • I saw this song live and it was WOW. Arcade Fire live is the best thing a person can see

  • going to see arcade fire on thursday sooo excited! arcade fire is amazing

  • I had this song stuck in my head

    ROCOCO ROCOCO ROCOCO ROCOCO

  • I just made th 15 years, and I lost my two best friends, they gone to another school, and when I hear this song it remembers me of it.

  • As much as I love Arcade Fire, I think there's some irony in this song in that they are hugely popular amongst hipster circles

  • does anyone else always think of GOB Bluth's chicken impression when they hear this song?

  • @giants00002 No. Surely not.

  • Instrumental music!

  • uggg advertisements

  • the trolls are running rampant

  • I'm so in love with u guys.. Your music gives me hope whenever I feel down. Thank you.

  • @MrSkate4weed Oh yea let me hear 20 indie bands. Just because they win a grammy and get radio play doesn't mean there not a good indie band anymore. 2,500 kids go to my school i bet you only 500 kids have ever heard arcade fire that doesn't sound very mainstream to me. Its not about a band being popular ITS ABOUT THE FUCKING MUSIC THEY MAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @CameronTheCannibal no shit, stop spewing more cliches, do some thinking for yourself, everything you're saying you've heard from others

  • I didn't like this song much when I first heard it but MY GOD is it a grower!!!! Just all the harmonies in the instruments are fab, as always with Arcade Fire! Saw them at Electric Picnic 2011 just there and they were so good! :) :) :) This song needs to be longer too! :) xx

  • this song is like the anthem to the terrible bus rife I have to take.

  • rococo video /watch?v=tEkmHN3leIc

  • How the hell do all of you have so much time to argue about something so worthless as Hipsters?

  • @Njcct84 don't be such a jerk, it literally takes a few seconds to type a comment dude.

  • The logic behind this song is the state or quality of being a HIPSTER, not the idea of being a commercialized fame whore.

  • It's not possible that this song was inspired by Lady Gaga fans, because it mentions the "modern kids" being able to leap "out of your hand", rather than lying dead in it.

  • Rococo video (fan made). /watch?v=tEkmHN3leIc

  • i LOVE this band!!!! i NEED to see them live!

  • @MusicInMe97

I recently saw them at Outside Lands a couple weeks ago in San Francisco. It was a truly life changing experience. Such a beautiful sound combined with so much enthusiasm and love from the crowd.

  • @GIzzy7 i have seen them live on tv b4 but i bet actually being in the crowd is amazing!! your so lucky u got to see them!! i have checked their dates and none near me :(

  • @MusicInMe97 i saw them in the suburbs in the month of may ;D it was lovely

  • you're all right you all win!!! let us all reward ourselves with great music :)

  • listen to this or die

  • @sarge11375 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYHEAH

  • I remember when I was like the only person in the country who knew who Arcade Fire was. #usedtobeamodernkid :D

  • Omg this song is incredible the arcade fire is so Awesome!!!

  • wow my art history class was actually useful for once

  • I fell asleep while listening to this song and had dreams of being a beautiful out casted wood monster. Don't ask.

  • We're the modern kids. Eat up pal.

  • The song is about people that are so cutting edge and artistically obscure that they are perceived as weird, stupid and weak. in the song they are talking about going downtown to MAKE FUN of the modern kids. the term "they will eat right out of your hands"~ means~ I think I own you. however by the time the mainstream catches onto a style of fashion or music the modern person has moved on to something else.

  • omg i feel this song in my heart. its all about love it feels amazing

  • :') cry everytime i love u everyone!

  • @TrueInfectionspree we love you too

  • @TrueInfectionspree That's when you know you found a brilliant song... when you feel the melodies resonate within you and that feeling that all that matters is you love everyone, and this moment in time you are happy to be alive and witness such beauty :)

  • Amazing how a few chords over and over sound so awesome. homecoming show in the Woodlands=best show of my life EVER

  • @hevlovesbike ...yeah, sounds great ...should be louder.....that's why i love this song,

unusual, uniqe sound ...keep up good work guys......thumb up

  • i just envision conan dancing really dramatically to this song.

  • Favourite!

  • This song seems to tie their three albums together. It would totally have fit with the songs on Funeral or Neon Bible.

  • Am I the only person that finds this group to be absolutely amazing :-)
