No. The reason for our weak economy is that the federal reserve has raised interest rates. Consevatism involves the practice of free markets with not goverment interaction. So our current government is actually very liberal.

Actually, that's true. Read the lines of classical liberalism (aka, federalism. Our founding fathers.....). It fits much more along the lines of the Republican party.

Christianity has nothing to do with conservatism. The father of american conservatism barry goldwater said that. he believed in seperation of church and state. the religious right thinks it does. its not an issue of morality, but an issue of the governments role/involvement. and carrying guns is for rednecks. and that we all hate the environment and want to screw the poor. we want lower taxes morons. liberals screwing things up again.

No, conservatives are the reason for all the mess we are in. Weak economy, impending issues on natural resources, big business entanglement...if it weren't for a conservative government we wouldn't have all of those problems!

No. The reason for our weak economy is that the federal reserve has raised interest rates. Consevatism involves the practice of free markets with not goverment interaction. So our current government is actually very liberal.

Liberals are the ones who endorse free market, get your facts straight. Government involvement is only for the purpose of controlling inflation which has not been done, it is a necessary cause as large business owners and corporations have been controlling prices and our government has done nothing about it. That is one of the main reasons we are in a weak economy.

Freedom of choice. I am all for freedom of market etc., but conservatives blew it I am sorry...big business was given plenty of rope to hang themselves, and they used every little bit of it and then some, which only hurts everyone. Yet, people still do not see this side of the story...

ok I was trying to hold my self back from posting a response but this was too much. I stopped watching at 6 min and 21 sec because of the hypocrisy. 1) Almost all news stations are liberal bias, we have pretty much only fox. 2) Liberals use "smear campaign" more than consevatives case and point clinton and obama (they even do it to themselves)

If you then consider the great literature of An Coulter and Michael Savage who don't really have liberal counterparts that tells me enough. Cons have made the word 'Liberal' an insult. Liberals have not returned the favor.

Coulter and Savage are over the top, and I don't understand conservative infatuation with them. There are some pretty horrible people on both sides.
I had a problem with some of what Sayet said, but gradually I begin to see it. I still don't buy into it 100%, but the more I think about it it makes more sense. You may disagree with his conclusions, but where is he seriously factually wrong?
And btw, liberals often use the term NEOCON as a slur.

Supposedly Michael Moore is the worst on the liberal side. In no way is he comparable with what the right has to offer. Why? Because unlike Coulter and Savage types who think liberals are a bunch of traitors who should be tried for treason or shot or whatever the only people MM has attacked with any viscousness is the White house. He's hardly said anything about cons in general. Neocons are a fringe group comparable to Socialists in the USA.

Setting aside that the vast majority of the world thinks it has actually been Liberals who have been acting more in the interest of the States and the fact that at this point America agrees with that assessment (the majority now thinks Iraq was a mistake). 90% of the nation supported him after 9/11. The US had the sympathy and even some of the tears of the world. Bush squandered it all he has made the US more hated than it has ever been. The effects are clearly being felt here in Europe (that goes for very America friendly nations like my own as well) it has all been his own doing.
Before you start blaming everybody else and pretending the world has always been anti-USA it may be time that you start taking a good hard critical look at your leader.
