i admit i am new to watching Dexter and have only just watched this episode... and i have to say i cheered at this scene... i know i shouldn't (because he is a killer) but i love Dexter... and this scene is just brilliant i love the way he rushes out of the room then just walks slowly as if nothing is about to happen to him... brilliant

Why do people think Doakes was a "nice" guy? He wasn't exactly a serial killer but he did his share of " bad" killings as special OPS plus 2 cold blooded " revenge" kills. As Dexter says he was a killer too. Plus as you see in the 5th serie even Dexter's brother was a nice guy compared with jordan's gang. So it's mostly a point of view of whose worse than who. That's why I like this show over the rest of crimial shows on tv with are just white and black, one dimensional bullshit.

in the book they say that doaks was actually had an unusual amount of kills and that he sees dexter for what he is cause he's the same way. the books are almost as good as the shows. slightly different. laguerta dies in the first book.
