    But this should be the warp mod though. 80121252 ???? cant remember this room value much though. It might of been somewhere above 0020.

  • Incidentally, there's a preview video of DKR somewhere that shows the full area with the other Taj pad... it was a big grassy area that would've led to the snow world, and had a ramp to Dino Domain as well.  I dunno why it's incomplete here.

  • @NyeTunes Yeah, I saw I think. I think here was just the cutscene and the beta land piece out there was just showing the unloaded version of it like, you need to go there to trigger the other map peice to load, but it seems this cutscene area was made during the time when they made those beta areas. Looks like it. And they removed them in the main area where we are suppost to explore.

  • So wait, is this the regular version of the game, or some beta release? I don't own this game but one of my friends has and he brings it over to my house sometimes so we can both play it, and I don't think I've ever seen this area before. It's been a long time though, so I may just not remember.

  • Its not the beta version, they just left some beta stuff from the beta version.

  • Reminds me of a hub world, where you enter a tunnel and the character fades off into the next area. That would explain the "unfinished" aspects to most of the map--you weren't supposed to go that far!

    Man, Rare has so many secrets. I wonder how much the fans would pay to have them give them up.

  • I don't know, I wish Rare can release those unrelease beta maps though. Even though the beta world had more places then this and I don't know why Rare canceled all of those. Maybe it was for Ultra 64 and that system supports more then Nintendo 64? I don't know, maybe the unrelease maps might support Nintendo 64 also.

  • Is this in the Nintendo 64 version or the DS version? and if it's the 64 version how did you get all that beta stuff??^^

  • Thie is the Nintendo 64 version. I used a warping code to do this and a code to turn my car into a plane and maybe another code that lets you end up in another spot.

  • Diddy's plane is now totaled thanks to you crashing it.

  • I think the missing piece of the log could have been a beta vehical selection area.

  • The other sides of the tunnels are no Beta.

    They are just not loading.

    Because, the Main Map has more than 1 map.

    You can notice that, the music is changing everytime another map is loading.

  • Really? But the 3D stuff there were different and the solid too.

  • Because in the real thing, the other maps are loading.

    And in the level you are in the video, aren't.

    What you see there is only 1 map.

    The Main Map without cheats are many maps.

  • I think I under stand what you mean, but unloaded maps will look like theirs nothing in this game. I'm saying that because, well, are you talking about like if your far away from something, it looks different and ugly and then when it loads all the way, it looks normal?

  • But I think in this game when maps are not loaded, they don't show up and I still don't under stand in this other side of tunnel thing, why would they put another pad? Yes, I do under stand still but this kind of map is really weird. It may not be beta or maby but its still good to make it look like a different place. =) And the beta log im sure, have to be beta.

  • The map could be a sort of Demo like thing, used for screenshots?

    I don't know why they put it in the game.

    And the other side of the tunnel thing, there where the maps are loading.

  • Yeah, but im still thinking about the unloaded map. I mean a pad and another tunnel, the blue one. And its solid too. Walls and everything.

  • That's in all 3D games like that.

    I have done this in many Zelda games, in Mario games and I even saw in 3D Mario games for DS how it works with a debugger.

  • Oh but in Zelda, I went to an unloaded map and the solid still acted for the right map load but didn't match with the unloading map. When I was walking there, I kept going though some mountains and sometimes walking on air, thats because the solid doesn't work right with an unloaded map. It was acting like it was supost to match with the correct map.

  • Actually, Rare just removed that part of the map because you can't see it in the cutscene. It is indeed beta, and there is a video on youtube "Wieviel 3-D hältst du aus? - Nintendo 64 VHS - Part 3/8" which confirms this.

  • looking at the palm tree shadow with no tree i guess it's more that in the intro you are not supposed to move at all so all areas that are not visible are just not built so it runs faster.
