Beh, in realtà si tratta di un "mondo movie", che è qualcosa in più di un semplice documentario. Solitamente, i mondo movies mostrano immagini orrorifiche provenienti da tutto il mondo (scene violente e lugubri, e Mondo Cane non è da meno), il che basta a molti critici per inserire questo genere cinematografico tra le branchie dei film horror. Anche siti autorevoli specializzati in cinema dell'orrore spesso recensiscono e parlano del film di Jacopetti, in mezzo ai vari Cannibal Holocaust & co.

@Vecchioinpensione Su Fuga da New York posso darti ragione, ma La Polizia Chiede Aiuto è considerato simil-horror dalla maggior parte del pubblico (se non mi credi, vai a controllare i generi indicati sull'IMDb: Crime | Thriller | Horror | Mystery). Anche sui siti specializzati in recensioni di film horror, La Polizia Chiede Aiuto è spesso menzionato. E poi, scusa, se tu lo hai visto ti sarai accorto di quanto sia splatter e tendente al giallo!

I know it's not a valid excuse, but Escape From New York is often (and of course wrongly) catalogued as a sci-fi/horror movie, especially on the web. All in all, I decided to put it up, going against the tide.

Great list but wow! No Pino Donaggio?!?! (TOURIST TRAP-DRESSED TO KILL-DON'T LOOK NOW-THE HOWLING-PIRANNA and most important CARRIE) and I may be mistaken but really no THE SHINING...The music makes that movie one of the most scariest of all times. I know this is your list and it is a very good one for you introduced some I never heard of. @clintbronson5 Well, the "Black Cat" theme is a Pino Donaggio's one. I really like "Dressed to kill" and "Nero Veneziano". I don't like "The Shining" theme enough, but I love Carlos' version of The Funeral of Queen Mary from A Clockwork Orange. I forgot "Rosemary's Baby" too. No doubt about Dracula: great one.
