  • oh when i first heard this i thought i was asleep an dreaming becus i had just downloaded loveless in its entirety and was listening thru it full for the first time and i had been in a dreamstate the entire listening of the album but something about this song gave me massive cold chills and euphoric bursts thru my body and it was incredible. there music is intrigues me so much.

  • @atomicfrylock that was actually me i was rubbing you down with some icyhot while you were sleeping

  • additives can suck my cashews.

  • adds can suck my nuts

  • Thx 4 Uploading, one of the greatest Bands, love it!!!!

  • much better than Evanescence - What You Want ^_^

  • much better than Evanescence - What You Want ^_^

  • HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ALL YOU LONELY.

  • they could have just looped the ending minute for another 4, and i'd be happy.

  • the lyrics are wrong for all of your loveless tracks..

  • But I do, I do, I do.

  • who sings this kevin or bilinda?

  • @JamesDarceyHoward If you can tell it's Belinda, then it's Belinda. If you can't tell, then it's probably Kevin.

  • @JamesDarceyHoward It's Kevin.

  • I'm having an orgasm by the ears listenning to that song

  • I love it, but it can also demage my ears. :C because of bad sound qualityyyyyyyyyyy

  • Can i get the end as an infinite playing loop?

  • 720p version on my profile

  • everytime i hear this song the hairs on the back of my neck stand up... and then im somewhere else; highschool and jumping into the topless jeep after class on afternoons... lighthing one up and driving off with the gang to the beach under the lush early summer skies... and listening to this. nostalgia is absolutely nowhere strong enough of a word to describe the total beatitude this reminds me of. thank you mbv <3

  • ?v=-QHDWYGl3vc

  • hole are cooler

  • @veverzay hole?

  • wouldn't be the same without all the guitar noise, the noise makes it what is, a beautiful texture!

  • i know most people love the loud guitar noise but id rather it not exist, i want to enjoy the melody that lurks in the background

  • God, If I could only listen this live!!!

  • this was recorded with a potato.

  • Loveless is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. Its a shame most people won't open their ears to it!

  • wow,0 dislikes... thanks god!

  • Why, oh why can't I find an album JUST AS GOOD AS LOVELESS? Seriously, I'm going to die if somebody doesn't come out with an album to at least RIVAL this one.

  • @biffbiff123456 you should definitely try Slowdive's "Catch the Breeze" EP. Slowdive is another mind blowing shoegazer band. and their music is some of the best ive listened to.

You should also know that they have a song with the same name as the EP but its on a different album so you dont get confused.

  • @kreep182 I have that EP. I love Slowdive too. but nothing beats Loveless (so far) for me. I'm still looking though.

  • @biffbiff123456 I assume you've heard Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. I see a lot of Brian Wilson in Kevin Shields. Loveless was his Pet Sounds. The other great shoegaze records from the time were Nowhere by Ride and Ferment by Catherine Wheel. Check them out if you haven't heard them. Are they better than Loveless? No. Are they approaching being in the same class? Yes.

  • Kevin totally kills it on this song, his vocals are so sick

  • this song is what its like to be hopelessly in love, so beautiful

  • @McFineassondemhoez I agree with you completely. The guitar "riff" is what jealousy sounds like when it can't be voiced... beautiful beyond words.

  • If you pause the song during the intro, the tempo is different when you press play again! Really interesting!

  • best album ever...

  • I thought I was the only one who LOVED this song

    Thank you Youtube

  • There's no emotional issue in life that cannot be solved by listening to this album.

  • There's no emotional issue in life that cannot be solved by listening to this problem.

  • Mannn that name ... i Compleatly ignored this band my whole life thinking it was just another EMO scene band.

  • @flamebot4475

I blame Bullet for My Valentine.

  • @flamebot4475 this this this

Its only cause boards of canada cited them as a big influence that I looked into them in the end.

  • if you dont like this MBV then you dont like music. All MBV did was create the best sound one could possibly make with an instrument. When it comes to food, I prefer shitty food more often than not so I don't claim I am a fan of food, just because u listen to some music does not mean u like it imo

  • I liked the part when I couldn't understand what he was saying.

  • @Bigdadda20 ahahahahah i bet it was the whole song :D

  • @Bigdadda20 i liked the part where I found out u have no idea what music encompasses

  • @fps0chris What part was that?

I was making a joke, douchebag. It's a great song.

  • @Bigdadda20 well thanks for labeling my whole life down to a douchebag, call me when u understand the concept of a joke

  • @fps0chris I didn't label your whole life as a douchebag. You're a douchebag because you made the blunt, offensive, ignorant and untrue claim that I have no idea what music encompasses.

  • @Bigdadda20 ....j...o....k...e.....get it?

  • @Bigdadda20

    she*

  • @AidanMusik Naw, Kevin Shields does the lead vocals for this particular song.

  • @Bigdadda20

    apologies if you're right dyood

  • my weed grows faster on this

  • '''Don't you know why I ask why?" is what it sounds like to me...

  • "Could I fall into talk" Is that really the lyrics? It sounds like more is being said there. It's the only part of the song I can't make out. Either way, easily my fav MBV song!

  • FUCK YOU, SONG, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO END SO QUICKLY?

  • the only problem with this song is that it's never loud enough.

  • @MrEX3 is a psichedelic song .-.

  • the second greatest song ever made... after to here knows when

  • Oh that interlude. That divine interlude.

  • This is a great song. Although "Only Shallow" is to me by far the best song of Loveless. Love MBV!

  • Holy shit, I thought I was the only one who thought this was the best song on Loveless. Then I decided to look at the comments on this video purely out of curiosity, and tons of people feel the exact same way as I do.

    I love everyone

  • My favourite too !!!!!!!

  • Whoa. When I first heard of this band, I assumed they would just be some generic new metal shit, but they're so different. I probably just got them confused with Bullet for my Valentine, never again will I confuse the two, MBV >>>>>>>> BFMV. This song is like an eargasm.

  • @celestialsnail NEVER put MBV and BFMV in the same sentence.

    EVER.

    MBV >>>>>>>> BFMV.

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN My friend did this today. And I about cried. How can you confuse such a shitty ass band with a band that is so fucking beautiful as my bloody valentine? <3

  • @bangxbangxbianca Same here.

    BFMV = shit

    MBV = godly

  • I find pleasure in gazing at my shoes.

  • You know it's good when you lose yourself in it.

  • This song is wonderous!

  • Since I listen My Bloody Valentine my life is a nightmare and I'm more and more sad with each day that passes. I think it's a coincidence, nevertheless my love for this band will never be broken...

  • @VincentFevrier I know what you mean.. My Bloody Valentine unlocks a certain nostalgia or longing for someone/something that I don't really want to confront... but My Bloody Valentine's music makes me confront it somehow... damn, they're good

  • @strokesfan1107

it's the ecstasy of childhood. ecstasy of freedom. this is what it is for me I think.

  • Simply moving music...you feel as though you've been changed somehow after hearing this record. Like you're somehow richer for having experienced it!

  • its than you blink your LOVELESS eye. not and then you make him go inside.

  • 4:20 i love how you can still hear muffled dialog under the flute loop. its probably from what may have hours and hours and hours of recorded studio time.

  • MBV is awesome, but would someone explain to me what shoe-gazing is? i hear it all over when i talk about these guys

  • @dyltr0n3030 loud guitar with distorted vocals. has a dreamy pop sound

  • @TheHoboPants got it makes sense now hahaha

  • @dyltr0n3030 it originally was meant in a derogatory way, as a description of how the fans of this genre would dance...

  • @alleygh0st

    Sorry, but your way off.

It was a reference to the bands that made up the 'Scen that Celebrated Itself.' Two reasons why they got pegged with this, one was the preponderance of guitar effect pedals when playing live; guitarists were constantly foot-tapping their way through an array of pedals, seemingly staring at their feet. Secondly, they were just staring at their feet, to add to the listless nature of the music, which was the attraction, not a band-members identity...

  • @Shirokinukatsukami Well, thank you for clearing that up, but still a bit derogatory, no?

  • @dyltr0n3030

Guitar effect pedals. All the shoe-gaze bands had an array of them, and had to constantly monitor them whilst playing live. Sometimes my friends and i would count the pedals when we went to a show, i remember Bardo Pond (some might say they are not particularly shoe-gaze, but whatever) had the most ever...

  • so good

  • my speakers are died.....thank you mbv

  • @phucketification my speakers are died?

  • @11joshman i meant dead i was baked

  • I think they never in the ninetines or now play it live

  • shallow is no cluster fuck its probally my favorite rock song from the 90's. i can listen to it 3 times straight.

  • when i hear this it makes me want to die because i suddenly realize how pointless everything is jesus faggot christ

  • i really only started listening to this band yesterday and i must say, holy shit. this is amazing

  • Geez, this puts me in a daze with or without drugs every time...

  • @ ShoeStare

It only took me two listens to fall in love with this album (Technically, one, for the second half of the album, since I listened to the first half and didn't "feel it", so I gave up on it. Then I listened to it again.)

  • Pause at 0:05 and the intro sounds different! more upbeat

  • Every album I've heard after I first heard Loveless was a little disappointing, even if I really liked it.

  • @MattyHild

Buy loveless. Listen to it all the way through. The third time you listen to it... euphoria will hit you. I promise.

  • @ShoeStare

I'll give it a shot, but i feel as though i've been trolled by /mu/ into listening to this.

  • Comment removed

  • @MattyHild cause ur not smart bro

  • @MattyHild maybe because you are 16 year old virgin who listens to godsmack and hasn't smoked pot

  • @11joshman You don't need to smoke pot to listen to My Bloody Valentine. I resent the thought that I need to be stoned to listen to my favourite band

  • @ZeroModa

doesn't make any sense, I wouldn't listen to something stoned if i I didn't like it sober, I don't need it to enjoy anything, but it adds another dimension to the experience that is still quite enjoyable. Or for another example, you don't need to see a band live to enjoy their music, but live shows still add another dimension that is quite enjoyable.

  • MBV's music has aged exceptionally well. Close to 19 years since this album was released and it still sounds as groundbreaking, innovative and mesmerizing as the first time I heard it. Truly remarkable music!

  • "Set guitars for 'STUN'..."

  • @royalnash racist motherfucker

  • Best

    Song

    .

    .

    EVER!

  • Beautiful :')

  • Woah. This album is the reason I'm patrialy deaf... It was totaly worth it though.

  • clasico

  • this is my all time favorite song of all time

  • So ridiculously gorgeous.

  • lovely, it's loud but in a way quite beautiful and gave me peace. makes my mind wander somewhere else.

  • the hilarious thing is, the absolute best thing about Loveless is the vocal melodies. even though they're drowned in pink fuzz.

  • beautiful noise.

  • It's hard to explain how this track makes me feel, one of my favorite tracks of all time.

  • my favorite song on my favorite album. nothing like it before or since. magic.

  • reminds of

    student living in Longsight

    Manchester in '94!

  • delicious

  • q chimba!!!!!!!!!!

traduzcan la letra hagan el favor!!

  • Great song. I don't know how somebody could figure out the lyrics though, I think those on the side are pretty arbitrary...

  • ah. what a record this is!

  • This track reminds me of Peter Pan

    (do you believe in fairies)

    Oh I do, I do, I do!

Man, don't you just love the way MBV songs end? I love the ending to this song esspecially.

  • This track is absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic album.

  • i like listening to this song before i go to sleep.

  • Sometimes I wish the end would last eternity. I'm always slightly dissapointed when the drumming to soon cuts into this =/

  • @ psychedelic95

Have a listen to "Boards Of Canada". They were influence by MBV and are true legends of the ambient/electronic genre

  • @anarconcho Me too!

  • my favorite song of MBV i love it since a heard at first time 2 years agoo here in youtube

  • I'm haunted by the beauty of this song !

  • Favorite song off the album

  • from 4:19 on, those muffled voices and that beautiful loop - kevin shields is simply genius

  • you don't get it, it's the artistry

  • stop hating.......the chords are fuckin awesome.

  • To me that's like saying it takes no genius to splatter dots of paint on a canvas like Pollock.

It's all a question of why each artistic decision was made. There aren't hard and fast rules in musical composition or in production. For better or worse shoegaze commonly buries the vocals in the mix -- it's an artistic decision, which any given listener will like or dislike. Personally I love the production.

  • I love it, too. But let's not lick their asses, OK?

  • COMMENCE GAZING AT SHOES!

  • @ilovemyfender1 sorry, gazing at Belinda....

  • @ilovemyfender1 God, it was such a dumb name for such an awesome genre of music lol.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote My Bloody Valentine is not dumb. It was taken from an obscure 80's Horror film. How is it dumb?

My Chemical Romance and Bullet for my Valentine just make it sound emo. Remember MBV were around before.

  • @pashedmotatos What? No, the genre name of "shoegazing" not the band's name.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote Eh, I kind of figured after I posted. Ah well.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote It was nicknamed that because the guitarists looked down at their feet to change the effects pedals often

  • Love it.

  • My fave track, and one that can make a grown man weep.

  • Indeed. It's... beautiful. ಥ_ಥ

  • @bnugia2 I hate E-faces. You sir have just ruined my happy attitude.

  • This is the most underrated song on Loveless.

  • Comment removed

  • my favorite MBV song on loveless.

  • Same, man.

  • @jcs1234jcs I second this.

  • @jcs1234jcs same here

  • @jcs1234jcs And me, easily.

  • Semplicemente perfetta, in ogni suo aspetto.
