I've heard that they closed it because the company that they hired to create it quit on them, they wanted to make it a paying game, but Disney didn't want that.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. "No, we don't want it to be a paying game, so we'll just close it, and open a NEW paying game!" Plus the bought out Club Penguin and kept it a paying game. I would have been frustrated if it were a paying game, but much less than if they closed it!

disney closed it because they wanted more money, and VMK was not a paying game therefore they did not get as much money as they did their other online games. they closed VMK (the BEST disney site EVER created) and opened a paying pirates game.

i will never forget how many memories i shared on that site. :'( </3
