  • OMG is it me or does he looks a lot like Matthew Bomer? :/

  • u talk in such a boring way ._.

  • Hi I'm 14 my voice has broken and i am just saying that I've been told by my music teacher and friends that I am a good at singing and have a good amount of vibrato and good at High notes but it just comes naturally to me and I wonder if singing michael buble like I do helps me to vibrate my voice by trying to sing in his style but also freddie mercury influences me on the high notes so is it possible to have this naturally

  • @LittlebigMarley omg i have like the same life except im ten.

  • @LittlebigMarley

It's called being a tenor. :) There are 3 types of vocal ranges for men. Bass, which is very low. Baritone is middle for men and tenor is higher. It is possible for you to hit notes other people with different ranges can't.

  • @MrCrowIey countertenor

  • @iseedeadpeopleinyou

A countertenor sings in a mezzo range, which is a very rare occurrence.

  • how the hell can anyone go that high?

  • where are ur biceps lol

  • @Anf26Hollister Hiding next to your brain ?

  • is this the dude from the backstreet boys?

  • do you have a musical theater background?

  • did the little piggy cry we we we all the way home? lol.....advertisement

  • I don't have a piano, Can i do it with my electric guitar?

  • @goranification yes, any instument will do as long as its in tune and your hitting the correct notes.

  • Hi - I really noticed that you scoop your voice quite noticeably in this exercise which I've always been taught is a no no! Instead of going from the note of one octave directly to the other note of the octave. Do you mean to do this?

  • Hi - I really noticed that you scoop your voice quite noticeably in this exercise which I've always been taught is a no no! Instead of going from the note of one octave directly to the other note of the octave. Do you mean to do this?

  • Eh, lol Know, I'll follow you into the dark? Me and my bro need good criticism, please :P See my vid

  • i heard somewhere that youre suppose to keep your adam's apple low or basically keep it from moving. its a natural tendency to move up when we sing high notes but we're suppose to keep it still. does anyone know if its true.

  • @xcode394 ehh its not completely true. The adams apple lowers when you take in a neutral breath preparing space, you NEVER think of holding it, it fluctuates as you breath. No part of your body is "held" while singing its all reflexive, with the correct amount of "intent" driven space prepared your adams apple will be lower. But again, even thinking about it will mess you up, so many unconscious things that people over think.

  • @xcode394 what that is refering to is, tongue position. when you feel you keep your adams apple low, you drop your tongue, making more room for air to flow. dont restrict yourself, but sing like you are yawning or are an opera singer, then adjust your tongue to your desired tone. when choosing your tone, record your own voice, again and again and again.

this is all to do with preventing singing nasaly and i think this is right.

if i could give you one tip, Be Natural and smooth, relax :)

  • @xcode394 Not true. your adams apple (or larynx) moves up and down depending on what pitch your singing. it moves higher for high notes and lower for low notes. the problem isnt moving your larynx up and down, the problem on high notes is when you tense up your neck, producing a very labored sound.the problem on low notes is when you try to pull down your larynx which pulls down your tounge and produces a swallowed sound. so the answer is no, youre not supposed to keep it still :)

  • @ShoelaceTemptation If singing correctly your larynx should drop to a low relaxed position and the pitch of the note has no effect on the movement of your larynx as your larynx is high it is tense and prevents you to freely produce higher noter, while in a low relaxed position simply sending the proper amount of air will allow the larynx to gently rock producing vibrato. Vibrato is a by-product of correct singing technique and not of rocking your head and the lies fed by this video.

  • @inuyasha0022032 If you were listening, you would have heard that the head rocking was to help you learn to relax your throat muscles while singing--to prevent tension. That was not a vibrato "how-to."

  • @xcode394 I have no idea to explain how to sing vibrato, I can sing vibrato but It kind of comes naturally to me. good luck with your training !

  • looks like a young Trent Reznor.

    good lesson though

  • very nice..! i need this!

rapping is wayyyy different from singing! singing is actually cool i think!

  • Lonely women love using their vibrato.

    (rimshot)

  • Damn! he's a very hot teacher... I couldn't pay atention to the lesson :P

  • LOVE using vibrato... i have it naturally, so instead of it being hard to USE the vibrato, for me it's hard to turn it off. :) lol

great video. you have an awesome voice, by the way. I'm glad that you're using your talent, especially to help other people.

  • @MyStyleIsBlack I have the same problem lol especially with head voice

  • @BeauDaltonJordan haha yeah the head voice is the worst with turning off the vibrato. especially hitting those super high notes... it's like, impossible to sing a straight tone.

  • i hate my vibrato....my vibrato comes and goes on certain notes

  • @hasher22 Me too it's kinda better for me when I throw my voice up or down in pitch seems to be easier rather than starting with one straight tone

  • anda a robar a los caminos!

  • vibratto comes naturally from within...im very good at vibratto and i found out how good i am without me noticing...

  • schnitte

  • Good lesson!!

  • Christina Aguilera is singing with vibrato right? When she forexample sings "i turn to you" she sings with vibrota at that part when she says "for a heart I can rely on through anything, for the one who... I can ruuuuuuun to" ....... if you know what I mean? xD

  • As you get older...vibrato comes in naturally to your voice. To me anyway. xD

  • great vid bro

  • god you almost blew out my speakers lol

  • @bumblebeedancer i know right lmao

  • I don't know if I missed something, but do you have to do anything with your diaphragm or does this happen in your throat? or am I completely wrong?

  • will you be able to feel the vibrato once it is developed?

  • one stupid question...is it true that smoking can damage your vocal cords or your throat?

  • @nikkip0520 yes, it can damage your vocal chords ;)

  • Great!! thank you!

  • how do i get your videos to sound louder!?!?!

  • @bubblejuiceman turn up the volume

  • @cces8 doesn't go any higher

  • im 14 almost 15 and people say my voice is ok. . . will my voice improve if i keep singing? will i be able to sing higher notes? or no

  • @etnies10 of course

  • thanks sbgalt, i jus checked out the other vibrato tutors on youtube n your the best, nice and simple, but very professional .soon as my wife gives me my card back i'm ordering your dvd. thanks again.

  • you know how kids dont have like a freakin limit to their vibrato? is it possible to gain that limit breaker back?

  • whoa...that rocking head motion really helped. I have not been doing my vibrato correctly all this time. Nice! Janky! (It means 'Thanks' in Polish)

  • Is that little theme from a song?

  • I thought it was called gravado? lol

  • wonderful

  • HOLY COW THIS WORKS!

  • title gave me the wrong idea xD

  • dude, you rock and i love you. im going to buy your CD, til then thank you so much for these videos

  • your talent is clearly shown both as a pianist and vocal trainer. i like the fact that these lessons are training my voice with new and interesting exercises. However, there is a lack of enthusiasm and also the fact that you are not going back down the scale that gives this vocal training an incomplete feel.

  • haha, I'm a high operatic tenor, and I could not sing that Bb around @:200 well, so I sang it up an octave with the soprano's in chest voice haha

  • Hi, I am a tenor training to sing opera and I just can not get vibrato. I thought I had it at one point, but was told it was tremolo. I agree because it does not feel natural... It feels forced. Sometimes when doing this though, I find that sometimes my voice will begin to vibrate freely (automatcally, and a little slower) but then it stops as soon as I realize its happening... Do you have any tips or exercises that could help me specifically?

  • wow this actually works! thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That head shake thing really helps. thanks :)

  • Maravilhoso!!! Adorei!

  • holy shet man......................tytyty

  • cool works thanks

  • you're a really good teacher, thank you!

  • Nice pecs, you go to the gym?

  • gay question... :-)

  • This tipe of vibrato has nothing to do vith pitch, but with level.

  • you are the BEST singing teacher on youtube. I actually not only learned from this video but got better in literally one day. You are the best and thank you for posting these helpful videos

  • AMAZING. I love singing not professionaly. Thank you for the lessons.

  • just want to give u a big thanks for spending the time and effort and make these lessons. I have followed all 3 cd's and have made some progress already, I struggled with my vibrato, but after 1 month for your vibrato lessons, I feel its improving more and more. Do u have any more tips on how to improve my range? as I feel I am stuck on that part. again thanks alot, and I hope you will make som new lessons in the future.

  • this help a lot thx

  • You are an amazing teacher.. This is actually the first time vibrato worked for me at all. I am choked and so happy now. Thank you so much! From Simone

  • bought the download it is awesome :D

  • omg! yay it worked! thanks a lot!

  • Hello! I have a question

In the lesson "Voice lessons - interactive singing lesson" you have

very fast soft vibrato and is this is totally sound different than in this lesson vibrato?

How do you do that? Do you have lessons for that one or any ideas how to create it ?

    Thanks

  • I think it's really really nice of you putting this on youtube. I'll probably try all your singing lessons =)

    Love you

  • Vibrato sounds like a wave of notes, as in a fluctuation of the key note. Think I understand this.

  • Vibrato comes to anyone, I play sax also and I just cant do vibrato without my jaw. It seems so impossible to do it with just your throat. For me to get something that sounds like vibrato I Have to sing at my highest produce fast fast streams of air and even then it doesnt sound good.

  • Well, in my opinion it should be easier for some to do vibrato, some others just can't do it naturally, but both kinds of people need to know the correct ways not to force their voices and to actually make it right... But I also agree not ALL good singers use vibrato, it depends on the person's style.

  • Good exercises!! Thanks! A question has come up: what causes a "wobble" in the voice (=an overly wide, slow vibrato)? What can be done to correct this? Thanks in advance.

  • I HAVE IT YAYYYYYYY

  • Thanks for posting this.. I become in on it after that..

  • This was quiet easy , but useful in my opinion .

  • I'd say this was VERY helpful.

    It's a good thing I subcrbed huh? :)

  • I have to yawn on all of your video's lol! (not that you're boring, you're amazing!) XD

  • it really isn't that hard just shake your voice

  • look at it as a guitar string, when you bend it the pitch changes and if you bend it back and forth fast you have vibrato but you are only bending it slightly though or else you will go out of key.

  • Author must train his vibrato and make his voice to be not so small and naive. And I'd say that vibrato is not so dificult if you are learned to do it in right way and practicing frequently, every time...after some months you will be able to do it perfectly!!! But there are some trics, how relax your singing to do unbelivable things with Your voice.

  • I liked you hair shorter... great singing by the way :D to bad its not easy for me... it doesn;t come naturally. Its hard for me to get rid of the tension in my throute muscles.

  • @pastapesto11 That's simply not true. Anyone can learn to develop and control their vibrato.

  • Comment removed

  • @sbgalt How can you tell if you are truly singing in mixed voice, which is a good and desirable thing, as opposed to "pulling chest", which is not? I think I can sort of tell by the relative ease of singing and if I'm producing a combined light and strong sound (instead of a "yelling" effect). But I honestly am not sure. Can you help?

    Great vids, by the way.

  • @pastapesto11 i never knew how to do vibrato, now i could do the vibrato thanks to the practice =)

  • @pastapesto11 thats totally totaly fake , people who thinks like u are ignorants, people can do the vibrato and control it , before i couldnt do the vibrato, now i can do it ! thanks to the practice =3

  • @pastapesto11 now u erased your comment cause u ignorant thats obvious u cant feel the shame to reply us lol sorry but we are totally right brute

  • @angellusdark sorry mate, Im obviously outnumbered! Good luck in future with your vibrato, lol

  • @pastapesto11 thanks mate u too ; )

  • @pastapesto11 i can. its so fun i can control it well.

  • Dude I love you ,mate, you r great...

    Thanx

  • So, vibrato will just spontaneously happen or will I have to start it myself somehow? Like, I can warble to the point where is kinda sounds like vibrato, but I know that's not right. Will someday I just start singing a straight note and all of a sudden a vibrato will happen?

  • You'll be able to control it, as in you can turn it on and off, but it's not the kind of thing that you can force to come out. You will develop control of it with time.

  • @sbgalt i forced it to come out even though its not really a vibrato but still it sounds good. Until, theres a time when im just singing in a videoke and not thinking of the vibrato. And i was surprised, it came out.............. Im so happy at that time... From that time, i c an now turn my vibrato on and off. thanks for arcenaux and you...............

  • lalalalalalala over the rainbow haha

  • Another question. Is there different kinds of vibrato. Cause i have heard that you can use a vibrato where u sing 2 notes really fast. The note you will sing. and then the note above either 1, og 2 semitones higher. And then there is the one i use. its just the same tone and the air is making the vibrato. But i cant make a fast vibrato and i cant get a vibrato in the beginning of the note
