I'm a skins fan and I miss jason campbell so fucking bad. He had a great arm and despite having to learn a new offense every year except for one that he played as a start he was a great quarterback. I wish him the best with the raiders

I've been a Redskins fan for over 20 years and have always liked Jason Campbell.

It's always so easy to blame the QB when the team isn't winning, but Campbell had to shoulder way too much of the blame during his years in D.C.

The Raiders are lucky to have him. Give him a little time to throw the ball and he'll make it rain.

Sure, we can break someones stats down to the umph degree and we can also say that he didnt win. But I can name many QBs that were loosers with one team and then winners with another, why? Because the team was a bad fit and or lacked talent.

As a raider fan, I like to see starters earn their position as well. But they don't need to earn it while playing for the Raiders.

Jason Campbell had an okay season for the Redskins last year, he even managed to get into the pro bowl after all the other qbs withdrew. I would start him over Gradkowski based on last year's performance and their NFL careers thus far, even though Gradkowski was starting last year.

@703Haterkiller Trent Green was never a bum when he was with us nor was Johnson . The only bum was Gannon but he never had any type of action to see but shown flashes at best . Regardless it goes both ways, Randy looked bad with Oakland went to NE bam hes a beast once again. Bret Favre went to NY than to Vikes and so on and so on. Jason was at his best in Washington like it or not and he struggled with bad teams. If Skins had Favre it wouldnt be a 4-12 season at all.

There were only 4 QBs who were ranked in the top 15 QB ratings for 2009 that didn't make the playoffs.

Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisburger, Matt Shaub, and Jason Campbell.

There is only two qb that didn't make the top 15, but there teams still went to the playoffs.

Carson Palmer and Mark Sanchez.

In other words were your QB finishes is a good reflection of were your team should finish. So for Campbell to finish 15th on a 4-12 team tells me Campbell might have been there most valuable player.

Orakpo is the MVP last year in the skins team or London Flecther and on offense it was either Davis . Sadly our whole O sucked because we lacked a good QB, sad to say sunny boy but OL will not save you all the time because one player can leave, another can have any injury and poof your OL is gone . Wanna know what never dies? QB"S....QB's win you the bg games other wise thejets would of won the SB if they kept Favre.

@Naturallylatino alot of you think its some magical thing. that the QB just magically wins for you. Its about being in a system that matches the player. McNabb is a west coast QB. The Redskins needed a west coast QB, The Raiders play a smash mouth play action offense, the Raiders new O coach (Hue Jackson) from the Ravens worked with Bowler, Campbell is that type of QB and perfect for the Raiders system . There are many QBs that played in one system and struggled, then switched and were great.

I agree whole heartedly. . . The problem is, I also feel that B. Grad has EARNED a shot to compete for the starting position. Jason Campbell is twice the QB B. Grad could ever hope to be, but the fact is, Grad put in the work and deserves at least a shot. I want to see Jason start, but if Grad comes out on opening day as the starter, it wouldn't surprise me. I'd say: Hey, the guy at least earned his spot... As a raider fan, I like to see starters earn their position.

Campbell is a hard worker, a calm guy, not a showboat, studies his ass off, and always looks on the bright side of things to keep a positive attitude. He never quit on his teammates in DC, went out and took a beating behind a trash O Line, even as the season degenerated into a 4-12 disaster. And many ignorant Redskin fans blamed him for the losses (dumb fans).

Raiders will benefit. I hope they keep a coach and system in place for stability. They just picked up one more fan. Go Jason!

@lee1rbc He's right. Brunell. Campbell goes 4-12...but the old men, Todd Collins and Mark Brunell who played when he was hurt or warming the bench, took the team to the playoffs twice. The OL sucked, dont get me wrong, but two outplayed old men took the team to the playoffs and Campbell cant do better than 4 wins. Either way, we got McNabb, you guys got what you wanted. I wish you guys the best of luck with him, if you can make a QB out of him, more power to you.

@s2thalayer Are you talking about 2005? When Portis was still good and Moss was still a pro bowler? Wasn't the Redskins new cordinator from Jacksonville and worked with Brunell. Brunell had years under that system and terminolagy. Only 17 QBs last year had 3,500 plus yards passing last year, Campbell was one of them! Not Brunell....
