  • the name of the track, please !

    thanks in advance !

  • @fcbayernmun Breaking Point - Get Up

  • last lift was sick

  • I started this training style back when I was 15 160lbs & a 575 total after seeing their 6 page story in FLEX lol. Took me to a 1305 raw total @19y/o 235lbs. Not a lot, but for my age its up there I think. Thanks to Louie's modified conjugate method! These videos are awesome for motivation. (Bench=315 Squat=475 Deadlift=515)

  • some roided out fatties, love it

  • @coudu8ed they aint really fat... they have huge bellies but are trained to do so. their abdominals are really strong and the whole point of powerlifting is to lift as much weight as you can at the smallest body weight. so if they were all fat and water then they would be heavy.

  • @coudu8ed your an idiot

  • @coudu8ed none of them are fat you piece of shit, besides they would rip you in half

  • @anoakes92 right, cause a lean 180 is fat.. no need to rage on me. I have nothing against this form of training, absolutely nothing. if I could put on the weight they do I would

  • Wow. Very, very impressive weights. I can't even imagine lifting that with wraps, let alone without. Great job guys, you work hard and are impressive, and it shows. Keep it up.

  • where the fuck do they work out, under a bridge?

  • @MarkIVFilms In a warehouse in Columbus, Ohio homeslice

  • i see a bunch or roid heads.

  • @sk8forlife90 I see a insecure youtube troll.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx no, westside barbell really does use roids.

  • @sk8forlife90 Everyone uses roids. If you are succeeding you are using roids...so why bitch and moan about it.?

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx everyone? you mean every powerlifter you dumbass. their cheating that's not real human strength. it's funny how cheating is legal in sports.

  • @sk8forlife90 All high class athletes. Not just powerlifters. Why the hell wouldn't you use it if you get paid?If you don't use steriods, you don't succeed. Unless you do some stupid shit like skating.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx skating? i don't skate bitch i'm a boxer so if you want to talk shit faggot i'll fuck you up.

  • @sk8forlife90 So you do not want me to insult you despite your name being sk8forlife. Ok You stupid bitchy faggot, you don't know how to wrestle and don't do judo/BJJ, that means you are a wimpering pussy that uses 1 tool in his faggy arsenal. I'm pretty sure you masturbate to dogs.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx lol, i'd still kick your ass and i wrestled a lot so fuck you.

  • @sk8forlife90 Says the fucking 90pound skater that boxes women because he's abusive, by the way when are you gonna get me. Too busy masturbating to courage wolf?

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx actually i'm 200lbs but nice try douche.

  • @sk8forlife90 Denial only makes your 90 pound body seem weaker.

  • @sk8forlife90 wow you're huge buddy...and you wrestled! jesus, you're lying and you're still not intimidating lmao

  • @OvereemIsGod i'm lying?

  • @sk8forlife90 yeah, just like 99% of everyone else who posts on youtube. "i wrestle and i box and i weigh 200lbs and id kick your ass!" yeah whatever you say kiddo lmao

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx Ok. Now I've insulted you. Time to fuck me up "cowers"

  • I see someone who could use some "intell roids"...so they can learn to spellz btter. You don't see SHIT, you're too fucking stupid to know a world leader in a given skill when you see him! Shut the fuck up and go bake some cookies.

  • I had a good time checking out your video. It was comprehensive and I detected a good understanding of Max Effort Lower Body. Louie Simmons, you rock.......I would like to share some interesting videos about Westside Barbell training methods which I found quite useful at youtube.com/user/TheWestsidebarbell .

  • god bless rack pulls

  • WESTSIIIIDE!!!!

  • What is the advantage of lifting as shown in this video (lifting the bar from the rack, starting a few inches above the floor)? That is, compared to starting the lift from the floor as in a standard deadlift?

  • they're called rack pulls. Same movement as deadlift but obviously less range of motion. Since you start higher then you can use more weight which puts more stress on the body forcing it to get stronger which will improve your normal deadlift. Just have to be careful at the bottom of the lift since rack pulls dont train for the full range of motion

  • You can't train the same lift every week and get stronger. Rack pulls are part of the rotation of exercises to get strong.

  • They are to help increase lockout power at the upper end of the lift.

  • dont look at the comments then dummy

  • Lets be honest here

LOUIE IS A FRIGGING BEAST, but im just about to start the basic westside barbell template, hope it goes well.

  • omg....their grip is ridic

    no wrist band in sight....NICE!

  • Why the fuck is it that when I look for lifting vids to fire myself up all I see is a bunch of people talking shit? Every Goddamn time!! You wanna talk shit, PM each other. Otherwise, don't say shit, so people like me that want to get motivated to do work don't end up reading and getting sidetracked by all this drama.

  • maybe don't read the comments? just watch the video you came for? yeah that might work

  • "yourmoment" why watch these particuler videos if all you're going to do is bad mouth it in the end? If you dont like them then simply watch something else. I have to assume, from yor comments that you have no interest in being strong and you know nothing about what you're watching. Now, go sit behind your desk and keep pushing that pencil. Thank you.

  • this is awsome!, id love to train at westside someday, im 18 now and working on my lifts, who knows, maybe ill compete one day! Powerlifting: The Most Hardcore Sport!!

  • I've definitely learned a lot just from reading a lot of the stuff that louie has put out there on the internet. Thanks for all the great articles and videos! They're definitely helpful -- I just wish there were more people around my area who are into this...

  • i feel the same way man...

  • yourmoment would not be saying any of these comments if he were in the same room as the guys in the video.

Amazing how easy it is to hide behind a computer across some miles of cable.

Just because you are on the internet does not give you an excuse to shit talk like that bro.

  • whats the point of it? Its there hobby its what they love to do? Powerlifters hardly get paid

  • I think you guys are doing some bad ass shit! Keep it up.

  • what is the purpose of you making comments here? do you make money for that or what?... its a sport dumass!!!! you do it because u simply enjoy doing it!!!

  • then you don't know much about arnold. As a young adult he deadlifted about 700lb if i remember correctly. google it. in his day powerlifters and bodybuilders trained very similarly.

  • Ur right he was a powerlifter.... before he started bodybuilding... so no powerlifters and bodybuilders did not train very similarly. that would be like saying marathon runners and sprinters train very similarly cause they both run... he did one.. and then the other..

  • a lot of powerlifters and bodybuilders trained together. Franco columbo powerlifted while bodybuilding. The difference between the way powerlifters and bbers trained was very small. it was not like today where they are pretty different. you had no westside barbell routines. everyone pretty much trained on a split with bodybuilding exercises done heavy. also, arnold was predominantly in bodybuilding, all his life. as a kid he wanted to bodybuild. he entered some PLing contests while bbing.

  • @Marlboro1337 Damn straight man. I personally believe that is why there were such dense, powerful looking build in the 70s and 80s. I've gone to a few local shows and left quite disappointed at how big yet soft they tended to look.

  • it depends on your priorities. powerlifters do what they do because they love it. same with bodybuilders. there are many sports that have a high rate of injury. its not that the athletes don't know or care. They accpet the risk but do what they do because of passions. Some people like painting pictures. Others like driving cars really fast. OTHER people like lifting really heavy weight. If you don't share the love or passion for it then don't attempt to understand it.

  • that was a hektic comment i love u broo..

  • i love me too bro

  • @Marlboro1337 haha i said the same thing to my doctor, i have bicep tendonitis and he said if u keep lifting heavy u are gonna get injured i was like thats like saying if i drive fast im gonna get a ticket its a risk to reward and the reward of hitting a new pr or seeing myself grow farrr outways the risk

  • @ilftw8 damn straight man. keep lifting but get that tendonitis fixed man! stay safe and strong.

  • @Marlboro1337 yea ive been icing it everyday and getting electric stim and probably another few days and ill be back to training hard and heavy !!!!

  • @Marlboro1337 wow...thats exactly what i wanted to say but u say it 100x better than i can. cheers!

  • pussy

  • Typical caveman response I'd expect from a blockhead.

  • @yourmoment Typical response I'd expect from someone who knows jackshit about powerlifting or bodybuilding. Get outta here mate.

  • I've looked as good as just about anyone that has never done steroids. I guess I know something.

  • @yourmoment Easy thing to say behind a keyboard. Prove it. Otherwise, you ain't shit jim.

  • Look at your channel and look at mine and there is a blatant difference in moral character. I don't need to prove anything to you. Carry on.

  • Moral Character? First what does that have to do with ANYTHING actually related to the discussion? Second, I'm a Weightlifter and pot smoker. I hardly see how that makes you some sort of higher being then I am. Lose the pretentious attitude and maybe you can be a half decent person, otherwise you're just a self worshipping holier then thou prick. You want to make a claim? You have to prove it. "Moral Character" has fuck all to do with it.

  • Psmokin weightlifter here as well my friend!

  • thats rack pull

  • There training this way to pull more from the floor. You gotta change it up sometimes to make the gains

  • IT does but ... you gotta change it a lil to make significant gains on strength. at westside they change it every week....

  • This is Desmond from D.C. I just wanted to say thanks again Louie. I am taking your advice and dragging the hell out of the sled.

Now I have to get back under some iron. Check out my YouTube page.

  • Good video. You need to do a seminar in Iowa City or Des Moines. Not very many S&C coaches are familiar with your methods here. Thank you.

  • yeah Buddy

  • what is the song?

  • its like heaven...for powerlifters!
