Can you compare York's version to Sonic Palms version?

Sounds stupid but I don't think you can.

York's version was very much chilled and was centered around the guitar and they just repeated the title several times (I love this version by the way).

Sonic Palms version uses parts of the guitar and uses different words to the original (Chris Rea) and is much more commercial, I still like it though. Can never beat the original. Why is it we are hearing allot of covers on our radios lately?
