@717021 are you seriously retarded dust devils form in hot desert areas and tornadoes are associated with a larger parent circulation, the mesocyclone on the back of a supercell thunderstorm. Dust devils form as a swirling updraft under sunny conditions during fair weather, rarely coming close to the intensity of a tornado
I'll tell you this, the tornado never struck Fort Collins, and i know this because i live there. But it did strike Windsor Co. ( about 10 miles south of Fort Collins. it is know 2 years since the tornado took place and some people still can't believed it happed
That's not entirely true, my friend. The tornado that hit Greensburg, KS in May of 2008 was a wall cloud tornado that was about a mile across. And it was packing, at one point, wind speeds of almost 300 mph. High 200's for sure.
@twisterfield651 actually owen is right learn proper grammar..you just about always say an before saying a word or a letter that starts or sounds like it's spelled with a vowel for example you don't say a ice box, you say an ice box ^_^
@dragonridley Your right wind speed only. In one case there was an F5 that was only 200 yards wide. In another there was one that was over a mile like this one and was only rated F3
EF4? really, i guess you cant judge the thing by its size, it just looked like it was pushing the limits of EF5. guess thats why im not a spotter. heh.
I REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 THAT HIT WINDSOR COLORADO AND IT WAS SCARY i was in greeley we were driving back and police said we couldnt go their so we had to drive straight through the mountains to evergreen
haha, my brother commented this video..Fire45. Anyways, yeah, we both went through this. I was in my basement and it was just rumbling A LOT. Our house didnt have TOO bad of damage but other houses around us were destroyed. Scary. Now, whenever a thunderstorm happens, I'm paranoid ha.
i drove right in front of that mother fucker on my way to loveland. it was so dark i didn't even know it was there till traffic was stopped on 34 and everyone was watching it under the overpasses right ther. was fuckin crazy
Yeah, it's not based on the size but on the damage done, which is kind of misleading since if it doesn't have a debris path how do you really know what it could have been/done.

Kobeee55 1 year ago
@Kobeee55 a scale of how strong a tornado is
Robolawrence23 1 year ago
@Kobeee55
The Fujita scale is a system of rating tornadoes based on the severity of the damage they do. It goes from F0 at the weakest to F5 at the strongest.
An F2 will tear the roof of most houses and an F3 will tear down most of the walls.
The was an EF3, which is essential the same thing as an F3, only on a somewhat modified scale.
