Didn't Obito get half of his body including his right eye crushed
it could just be that he over did Amaterasu and made his left eye useless.
By doing that he gained the power to Di-materialize and Re-materialize at will.

i think tobi is obito becoz i heard romors that 4th dint die after sealing the fox into naruto but he took his wife and left the vikllage but he did not take naruto with him
later maybe he revived obito and told him that kakashi and rin died in 3rd ninja war and the village betrated them so obito stayed with madra as tobi and also tobi can teleport himself with his sharingun while kakashi can teleport thing with his sharingun so i think obito is tobi :)

Manga shows that Tobi is not Madara. Also Tobi right arm is "dummy" (showing during the fight with Foo and Torune), it seems like White Zetsu. Obito has a score to settle with Kakashi and Konoha, i have no doubt, Tobi is Obito.
