Why do you say that Spain doesn't easily acknowledge the moor past? In which information are you based. I am from Spain and in my history classes back at primary and secondary school we learnt everything about our moor past. We learnt that Spanish language (at least Castellano) has more than 5000 arab words, we learnt that while the rest of Europe was in the dark ages in Spain the moors had developed incredible agriculture engineering such as acequias ect

It's intolerable to hear that the Alhambra is in Seville (you could correct it,please!).It's in Granada,the other important column of Andalucía! Andalucia had a great Arab and Muslim influence,and we andalusians know that every city or village has an Arab heritage,but there is another part which is Roman and the great part is Christian;it's a mixture. It's true there was a golden Age during Muslim era, but there was also another one,I think stronger,during the 16th and 17th centuries.

I think the emphasis on Muslim contributions (as opposed to Christian or Roman) is that Islam today needs all the good PR it can get. Second, many or most do not know of Islam's role in Spain. And we think the Muslim influence led to the Renaissance by virtue of its learning and translations of Greek and Roman texts.

The capital of Andalusia is Sevilla not Cordoba as this video says. Also, the Alhambra is in Granada not Sevilla which was also claimed in this video. The Spanish Golden years were NOTTTT under Muslim rule. The 16th century, following the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella and the discovery of the Americas, was the Golden era in Spain true golden period. The Chrisitan reconquest ended with the fall of Granda in 1492. Read your history before you claim somthing on the internet!

We think that during the period we speek of, Cordoba was the religious and cultural capital of Al Andalus, though not so today. However, we disagree strongly and maintain the "true Golden Period" for Spain and all of Europe was during the Moorish-Muslim rule. It ushered in tolerance, science and the Renaissance. Thanks!

The true Spanish Golden age was a period of 150 years between 1500 and 1650. During that time, the sun did not set on the Spanish empire. Habsburg Spain was the first truly GLOBAL empire, reaching a stature far greater than than "al-andalus" or even the caliphate for that matter.
