It's hard to tell. Since Transformers are robots, decapitation wouldn't necessarily kill them. Also, their bodies didn't turn gray, which is what usually happens when a Transformer dies. On the other hand, they're never seen nor mentioned again. So we don't know for certain whether or not they died.
@rickyvangooberblat I have watch several Gundam series. Those series were aimed towards older audiences while Transformers is 1980s 30-minute toy commercials aimed towards kids.
