@MrMewtwo96 We wouldn't recommend throwing your console across the room, or repeatedly dropping it for the fun of it, but the fabric wrapped aluminum frame does provide protection for fumbles of the console and the sort. Pitching your console like a baseball into the wall is not recommended, though. ;)

Couple questions: Does the faux leather make your hands sweat? And wouldn't the combination of the faux leather and the aluminum cause overheating of the DS?

@Archlvt Great question: The synthetic leather we've used is specifically designed to allow your hands to breathe over extended use. The fabric-wrapped aluminum case certainly insulates as well as it protects, but the case leaves more than 60% of the DSi's surface area open to breathe while flipped open and in use.

@alltheluck I agree, there are definitely cheaper, less expensive cases available on the market, but you won't find anything comparable to the quality and design of CM4's Catalyst SLIM COVER. @alltheluck And then there's shipping too. It'll run me $42 bucks for this. Hate to say it, but I think I'm just gonna get a standard aluminum case at best buy for $15 instead.

Darn shame, this looks like really high quality stuff, but $42 is too much for an accessory. I can get a full DS game for cheaper. Heck, I can get a used DS lite for that price.

As much as we attempt to convey the premium experience through descriptions, product shots, and lifestyle photography, there’s no replacing the premium tactile sensation from handling our products.

If you glance through reviews of our products from across the web they almost always end with, “after using the CM4 Catalyst case, I can’t imagine using my console without it” We'll be in retail stores pretty soon and I'll be sure to keep you posted.
