I think this is one of those poor trailers that gives away too much of the film before it is even released.

One of the reasons I enjoyed Avatar so much was that, even having seen the trailer, I had no idea what the film was going to involve as the trailer gave nothing away; consequently, the film felt much more immersive and fresh as I had no idea what was going to happen next.

This trailer is basically the entire film condensed into 2 minutes 30 seconds.

Honestly. Mind you, I haven't seen the original, but I can tell by the look of this movie, they are not zombies. Zombies have very little memories and have very little motor functions. As you can see in this trailer, the CRAZIES are using weapons, pouring gasolines, setting houses on fire, etc. Those acts alone cancels them out as zombies. The highest sign of zombie intelligence is seen in Land Of The Dead and that's not even close to how these people are acting. Come on, fans should know what

I really want to see this, but they aren't really zombies. They aren't interested in eating human flesh, which is a key characteristic of zombies. They are more like the 28 Days/Weeks Later "zombies" except these guys can talk and have a more coherent thought process. Doesn't make this movie look any less cool though.
