I just got back from my second trip to Haiti and am also amazed by the overwhelming spirit of hope the Haitians have for their future. My group has built a school, clinic, and is currently working on a factory project in Savanette. This last trip, the Savanette community (a very poor rural community) approached us and asked how they could help us, help them. We are providing them the tools and skills to become self sufficient. They don't want handouts or pity, they want support and prayers.
I applaud you giving your times and energy to assist the less fortunates in Haiti. And I am happy that you see the problems of Haiti not as a Haitian stigma rather as problems that a country or any country can face.
i like this a lot
