I've studied ballet, modern, african, pole dancing, movement theater and yoga. My parents love me and I talk to both of them frequently. They know that I work as a stripper and they are supportive of my decision. I'm also an award winning artist and an ivy league student, so they haven't much to complain about.

@marshalt I know of meth as a rural and midwest drug. Cocaine is far more popular at urban bars, parties, and gentleman's clubs. I'm not much of a party girl, though I do drink wine in moderation while at work. A lap dance is only degrading if the man has an unhealthy view of women (or certain women) as sexual objects or as "other" to the male norm. There is no particular degree of physical contact (even when money is exchanged) that inherently warrants treating someone as an inferior

Obviously most strippers have issues with their father (who doesn't?) and perhaps a high % of them hate their fathers. But the ones who make the most money aren't making it on the stage or in giving lap dances. They know it's loneliness, not horniness (of course there's an overlap), that is the key. Yes, they do still have to take their clothes off, but that's secondary.

NOT true for all strippers..... I became a stripper because I enjoyed dancing- & taking my clothes off as I dance..... became like a magic act- I NEVER met my father... Never had a "Meth" addiction... I always danced sober- & there is NOTHING demoralizing about dancing in front of people with minimal clothing. Sure- there are a lot of strippers who hate their dads & do drugs- but- some of us just enjoy performing with no regard to how naked we are- I'm also an ex- wrestler.
