@sketchyinc thanks man! yeah this was the last layour for the 86 year until they changed it for 87 to 90. personally lik this one better, mainly cause it has chrome trim lol

i hate how the steering wheel has cracked. i dont get why it does but underneath that plastic is a metal rod ( would suck to smash ur face into it in a crash LOL) so i guess it bends but the plastic dont lol

i like how theirs wood trim on the steering wheel, its a nice touch, i prefer this over the later steering wheels of the later years of the park avenues

i find the recent cheap plastic wood trims kinda "mold" better with the interior of cars but, plastics plastic lol.

theirs more of it in these cars of the 80s then the 90s which is nice

originally the steering wheel design on my pdownsized one was the park avenue versin for hte big gm boyd park avenues prior.

i guess since 85 was the last big body for the lesabres they wanted to throw as much shit in it as they can.

My grandma had a black '87. I loved that car when I was little. Considering that you said they had airbags after '86, hers was probably an '86 as well seeing that her car didn't have an airbag.

honestly i dontknow any more, they changed the steering wheelstyle in 87 or 88 and it looked liek their was an airbag in it,plus vaguely rmember someone saying that but i could bewrong

black and red were nice colours for these buicks

any other colour, white, green, blue etc were just to cheap looking

On second thought, hers most likely was an '87 since I could swear I've seen 87's with those steering wheels. And she had the slightly newer redesigned headlights (the one piece ones) Oh well. Yup and I gotta agree with you about the colors, except for white, I think that black, white, and red looked very nice on 'em.

yea 86 had a horsepower but the balancers were not there and made the motors shake everythign loose

They didnt have air bags UNTIL the 1991 restyle they did however change the steering wheel style and put more stream line headlights in but they didnt have airbags this goes for the lesabre model too

actuallyin staring in 1987 they restyled the steering wheel which acutally had a airbag in it. im not sure about lesabres but their was a driverside airbag .

mine dont have it, which is nice casue i can slam my hand on the horn which is fun XD

That cb radio is not original. It was never an option in these cars. You have done alot of cleaning it looks awesome. And vinyl tops are not a pain if you know how to take care of it. Yours is just 20 years of neglect. Hurry up and get a battery. LOL. -BOGAR!

whats a good product for dash vynal protectoin? i heard armour all sucks casuse it cracks it, ive bought some "simonize" protectant made for vynl, not sure if its good or not. do you use anything?

that cb radio was never part of the car originally. Thats just an add on that somebady threw in, it does not "go" with the car.

ye this car was owned by ym dad, he was the original owner. i dunno whyhe put a cb in it but it would be fun to play with on the road LOL

i think my dad got hte cb radio at the dealship and they, how wold u say, "customized" the cb radio on to it. thats why theirs a honking big attenna in the back on the trunk.

You got to replace that knob! Under the plastic it bolts on with i think 3 bolts. There is no other reall fix.
