Haha, doesnt look like Log Ride will open any time soon. I still remember the day the ceiling collapsed on guests while the ride was in operation. People had to get carted out in wheel chairs and stretchers. Poor Log Ride, neglectful Knott's.

I agree up to a few years ago the ride was better Luminated and had alot more scenic. I know that some stuff has to put away to build the rethemed rides for Haunt. But as many of us that work the Haunt it's all but the money in building bigger new things, look at what've done to the boothill area, all the buildings next to the wilderness dance hall are gone you can see straight from the hall to Calico squaire so they can build a new roller Coaster.

I went on this ride twice in one day back in 1976. Back then, the scenery after the Drop in the Dark, was better luminated. The only place the ride was dark, was in the Tunnel and Drop at 2:05 in... A green lamp illuminated the splash zone, as in this video. But After rounding the next turn the sets were much brighter lit. It seams like rides are getting darker and less scenic nowdays!

Actually, they could be tearing it down, since they just seem to keep finding problem after problem.  Theyll gut the interior and retrofit and problem areas.

They wouldnt tear it down it was one of the first rides there. The ride is just being refurbished, now all that stuff going on by boot hill thats a different story.
