I don't care for 5.11 because it's mostly stuff that's made by another asian mfg They just put 5.11 tags on the product then sell it for two or three times it's original price. It's probably shipped direct from the host mfg to the customer and you pay more simply because it's tag and or embrodered 5.11. If I'm to pay a large sum of money for gear and garmets I make sure the money is actually going to the people that fabricate it. If the price is justified I'm willing to pay for it.

I can see theres a ton of gear you review but is it possible to give rough pricing as you review to compare the same style packs, lets say 3 "drop" type bags from 3 companies and pricing to see the difference?

Dang we always forget prices..

This request might be tough though.

Because we get a lot of stuff used (we are not rich) so we would have to look up prices and it's hard enough to get everyone together (or at least their gear) to do the videos, time to research them would cut down on quantity of vids, but we'll work on doing it more

Another thing is most of the gear manufacturers are in the same price range.. none that I can think of are WAY cheap or WAY expensive

Whats your opinion about 5.11 Tactical? I have bought some of their stuff before, seems like decent stuff, but then again I am a total rookie when it comes to gear.

We dont claim to be the ultimate word on gear of course..

But we did this series to introduce the companies we use and really like.

We like them for their quality, their support of our military & law enforcement and the fact that most of them make their gear here in the US

These factors are what are most important to us..

That said, we don't want to crap on other manufacturers or gear even if their stuff is made in china, etc

We have worn out a lot foreign stuff, until we went USA

Many of the domestic designs are stolen by foreign manufacturers/sweatshops and built overseas and sold in America. Many of the "mainstream/popular" nylon companies are nothing more than profiteers that steal a well-designed piece of gear and mass produce it overseas and sell it to people who may not know better.

Im assuming the products are trademarked or copyrighted? If so how can they use each others designs so freely or are the changes enough to be safe to design and produce?

This looks almost the same as maxpeditions stuff are they connected? The med pouch looks like the FIGHT pouch and the dump pouch is like the roly poly.

Gear designs and ownership are a sensitive subject..

some guys who have been around long enough know who came out with what first..

If you pay attention long enough you'll see 'new' bags / packs / pouches come out and then you see the other companies react..

some react with their own unique designs

sometimes changes are made by companies when they 'borrow' a design.. some changes obvious but some are not so obvious
