Thanks Paul, I was at The Dame[twice],Corbin and Whitesburg,so i probably bumped into you somewhere. A lot of people appreciate your work, I hope you keep it up because you guys are a youtube phenom-please come to eastern ky[morehead or ashland]-I've emailed Chris' agent,Ashland has a theater just like the Kentucky theater[Paramount]. i've seen prine and steve earle there and its a really nice venue. Again, Thanks a bunch.
@kyolddude I use to be a trainman for the C&O RR. I worked from Silver Grove, Ky. to Russell, Ky. from 1978-90. I know the Paramount is a beautiful facility which the locals are rightfully proud of. I would love to video a show there. A Prine, Earle or Knight show anywhere, let alone a great facility like the Paramount, would be a thrill for our whole crew! Thanks again for your support.
Run that by Chris and see if you dont get a laugh-it's a Ky slang-btw,being drunken is illegal-being a cuckhold is not illegal, maybe immoral but not so brazenly descriptive-the spelling is the whole humor side of Chris. If you havent followed him much-this is a dark, pensive man who is educated and witty. Thanks again for reply, you guys did a unbelievable job videotaping the most underrated artist of this time period-just my opinion as a musician, people like you keep it real and genuine.
@kyolddude I started shooting him at Gerstle's in Louisville in August of '07. I also taped him in Millville (Hillbilly Daze), Lexington (Dame), Louisville(Vernon Club), and Corbin (Depot). I only shot them with a small camera. Parts of all those shows are on youtube. Now that I know how to video and edit, I wanted to shoot this one with 5 cameras and a still photog, but I know it wasn't reasonable to ask. However, the want ain't gone anywhere. Thanks again for everything. Paul
@kyolddude Thanks for watching. The compliment is appreciated by all of us. We're definitely not pros! We are volunteers at a local public access station. It was a great show. (We had more of the show but we suffered from equipment failures.)
BTW, would that be Cuckholds? If so, I don't think many guys would like being a cuckhold.....unless they are just plain weird! Thanks for the suggestion, tho.
@rockarthunter Thanks for watching. I'd like to shoot him with 5 video cameras and a photographer. Oh well, I got to use 2 cameras and I am very thankful. Happy New Year!
@otherkind Thanks for watching. Glad to hear from you. I hope you've had a wonderful summer. The band doesn't really have a name. They need one, tho, and The Drunken Boaters, antagonists from "Down The River", was suggested by Jason Knight, Administrator chrisknightDOTnet . My suggestions included Chris Knight and The Cutters or Chris Knight and The Lyin' Old Men.
Drunken Boaters, lol, to quote a friend, "Is there another kind of boater?" Guess they will figure it out and settle on a name sooner or later. I was hoping this show wouldn't be chopped up from your original footage, but you did a very nice job of editing.
Summer was awesome in Mn! I saw John Hiatt and the Combo last week and that was a kick ass show! Couldn't video any of it though, as it was in an intimate theater setting.
@WarrenZevonAddict I enjoyed editing this shoot as well as any videos I had ever done. This was the 6th time I had taped him but, first time with anything but a small consumer camera. I am an amateur at making videos and I hope my appreciation for this music comes through when people watch the videos. Thanks for watching and the kind comment. Paul
