  • I love watching these two on screen together. They work so well together; it's like a dance.

  • I can't stand Joan. She's hot, but that's about all she's so overwhelmingly bitchy, I can't like her.

  • love this scene. hilarious

  • Easily the best show by far on tv. Great writing, great acting by an ensemble cast. I can't wait for it to return.

  • She's not a very good actress, she's one of the best actresses to ever grace the csreen large or small.

  • @qopus66 you're right, she's one of the best. I still maintain my view though. She's so beautiful people forget she's also a wonderful actress!

  • Christina is gorgeous, but it makes me sad that the the comments that receive more thumbs up are the ones that compliment only her beauty, especially her body! Come on people she's a very good actress too! She's Not Just A Pretty Woman!

  • @solarfire1988 She is a fabulous actress. But she has such an astonishing physical presence (and the way she presents herself- the posture, the walk- is also a credit to her acting skill) that it just makes you stare in flabbergasted delight. She represents a lost feminine ideal in our modern world, and again, it is such a joy to see her that sometimes folks can forget the art that goes into the character.

  • Apologize for "just how stupid you are", Joan is always abusive to Peggy. Joan has no friends for a reason.

  • Am I the only one that feels season 1 was the Joans best season and they have gradually decreased her characters role as the season go on? She didnt do that much in season 3, heres hoping she gets more to do this season. The dynamic between her and the English was great a couple weeks ago.

  • @NotADood, you're still lazy. Nothing you can say will impress me. Go have sex with Joan if she's so hot, but you shld probly roll her in flour first.

  • @jdnbmio Flour? What?

  • "... then you just start apologizing for ... well ... just how STUPID you are!"

"That's probably what I would have done, anyway."

    LOVE IT!

  • @jdnbmio You don't get it.

  • @jdnbmio 500 characters isn't enough to make somebody as dense as you get it. You're one of those Mad Men viewers who may as well be watching Knot's Landing reruns.

  • "He came back all greasy and calm"

  • Awesome acting!

  • LOL. Thoroughly richly entertaining, as if Shakespeare suddenly came back and was writing for TV.

  • My favorite scene from the entire series. "You shouldn't have told me."

    Joan is tremendous.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Joan is the best! she takes no shit!

  • msmadgirl, I would just like to salute you for posting these choice Mad Men clips :D

  • Joan is one hot redhead.

  • joan is a lotta women

  • Hell yeah, she is. She's got more curves than a coke bottle.

  • If I was a character on Mad Men I would definitely be trying to hop on Peggy - she's cute, nice, and sweet.

  • Oh nooooo - Peggy..really????

Prefer Dons bit on the side, whatever her name is.

  • Don's jewish-chick-department-store-chick or that arthouse ho that he bangs on the side? I really like the department store owner broad. Maybe if I was a character on the show i could hop on both?

  • Both of em actually!.

Incidentally if you were a character on the show you'd proabably die from all that smoke around you!, unless your a smoker of course.

  • Ha! Good point. Those guys NEVER stop smokin'!

  • i bet by the end of this series, whatever season, joan WILL end up fucking don

  • Joan is a bitch, I love her, but what a bitch.

  • owned!

  • I like Peggy, she`s so beautiful!

  • That redhed looks so good.

  • Joan is a classic femme fatale. She rules Sterling Cooper and she knows it. She rocks.

  • Joan is a sly cat! She always has a game to the name...

  • Joan is so manipulative.. I LOVE IT!! Joan is so awesome.. And Don Draper is so awesome!

  • Don Draper is the man

  • Joan...did you see how she totally played Peggy like a pawn? And it in a subtle way she rubbed it in too. Without coming right out and saying it, that in their world she is more socially dominant and in control over Peggy. I love her! LOL. What a woman!!

    :-D

  • Joan is Amazing.. Who would've thought a woman like that ACTUALLY exists..

Betty Draper's real pretty too tho

  • Do people still bear names like Peggy or Sue?

  • I hope not. That's so common.

  • "Please hurry!"

::Joan lights a cigarette and has a puff::

    Great moment. Both great actresses.

  • Joan is sooooo beautiful. I think this show will launch her career. She's a good actress too.

  • Joan has to be one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

  • Mrs. Draper is the bees knees!

  • joan rocks...i like betty tho

  • Betty is pretty, but she has too many issues w/ maturity and stuff. Joan is hot and she acts like a woman instead of a girl.

  • She acts like a bitch is what she acts like, and preys upon Betty so she can feel better about herself. Acts like a woman? On what sadistic planet?

  • What? How does Joan prey upon Betty, when?

  • Are you kidding? Joan clearly has insecurity issues with women who don't fall into the typical gender roles that she's comfortable with. Look at how she tries to guide Betty into her world at the beginning, emphasizing sexuality. Look at her passive aggressive comments every time Betty manages to move socially upwards.

It's not a knock on the character, rather it shows how deep the writing is and how every character has great flaws.

  • @chrisludwig29 I never got the impression that Joan was insecure with Peggy. Rather, that these two women are the only women who actually interact with one another in a professional way. It seems harsh and cutting, but they both know how cut throat it is to be in a man's world, and for that they both come across as very strong. These seems to come through more in the 4th Season, when Joan begins to treat her male coworkers the same way. She drops the charm and ups the business.

  • @chrisludwig29

I think you're confusing Betty with Peggy

  • @chrisludwig29 agreed, the flaws on each character make them so real.

  • @chrisludwig29 if by betty you mean peggy?

  • Is everyone getting the names Peggy mixed up with Betty? I don't remember Joan and Betty ever interacting in season 2.

  • I know who the characters are, SEASON PREMIERE TONIGHT!

  • I love Joan!
