The beginning of your video has the backstory from the Japanese instruction booklet. Instead of this game taking place before Sonic and Tails met, the North American instruction booklet places this game sometime after they met, stating that they each went on separate vacations. As for the rest, I think it's pretty much the same. I don't recall anything past that.
