omg, hes practically a polar bear! hes super white and fluff, and he swims. the only difference is that hes smaller and doesnt eat seals x]

my sammy doesnt like swimmin any were evan on the hotest days, the only time she swims is when she falls in deep water

they can swims but is harder because their hair absorb the water like a sponge and makes them heavier, so usually you would see only his head!

I had a malamute and Samoyed for 15 years and they were best friends. My parents have one of each now and they get long great as well

It would work only if they are neutered, but it's never recommended, but it really depends on the dogs behavior.

it's easier with puppies because they are more brave, it's also easier if it's hot out. Make them feel like it's a game and they'll jump in!

Wow! Thanks very much for the advice, I will definitely pick one up! :) Jasper hates the blow dryer (like the one I use for my hair) so a pet one might be a little more successful!

It's good to get them used to these noises and to get brushed for hours when they are puppies, the dryer is extremely loud! Like a jet engine, but the hose is really long so I plug it in another room and run the hose wherever I'm drying him! It sounds like a jet engine!

I know it's expensive but it's the only dryer that does the job believe me, it's called K-9 III Blower Dryer (youtube is not letting me put the link) you can find it on petedge. Sunny has an unbelievable amount of undercoat and when it gets wet is like a sponge...

Consider I have 2 samoyed and I groom them myself (yes once a month I spend my whole friday grooming them!)

Whenever I give my Sammy Jasper a bath it takes forever to dry him and he's only 12 weeks old! I wonder if he'll like swimming too! :)

I'm sure he'll love how to swim! It used to take 1 hour to dry Sunny but we bought a special drier that dries him in only 20 minutes!
