When I was younger, we had the Megaman X cartridge the SNES, but not X2 or X3. So when I grew up and started using the internetz more, I learned that there were like, a fuckton more Megaman X games and I shit my pants. So that's my story.

@63Reed Me neither. First time I played X2 was on ZSNES. Maybe it was because when I played the SNES when I was a kid they stopped making SNES games. I'm only 16, so I grew up with the N64 (my personal favorite console) but I was lucky to have a SNES as well. Megaman X was always hella fun, but I had to get my brother to help me for the first time. If I remember correctly, none of us ever got to Sigma.

You should have done Wire Sponge first to get the subtank and life-up. Then you do Wheel Gator to get the X-Buster upgrade. That thing will carry you through the rest of the game. Nobody who LP's this game ever does that.

Maby some of you know, but the pseudo 3-d in this game is not generated by the console, it doesnt have the power to do that. Capcom putted a special chip in the MMX series wich allowed the catrige to generate 3-D effects as seen in the into. I thought it was pretty neat for their time.

In Wheel Gators stage, if you just stand outside, you see the background change slightly every once in a while. It slowly changes from day, to twilight, to night time. It is a pretty cool thing the designers came up with.

here's a tip that will make life a little easier getting the hand upgrade before getting legs. Beat Wire Sponge first then go to wheel gator. Wire Sponge's weapon allows you to drag or pull yourself to a soild object like walls.So what happens is that you basically make the same jump pre shooting His ability and clinging to the wall faster and kicking up, plus it is wheel gators weakness. you can actually time it where you can keep hitting him with it before he goes down.

You can also get the X-Buster Upgrade with the Strike Chain from Wire Sponge. A cheap way to get the Heart Tank without any upgrades or weapons, move to the right from the spikes, get hit by the enemy and run for the spikes. You can climb them up like a normal wall as long as you are still invincible after getting hit. ^^

I find Firefox runs just fine. Perhaps it's just the memory leak thing that plagued older versions, plus it's a RAM hog so it performs badly on less-powerful computers short on memory.

Besides, I use a ton of extensions, many of which are not available on the other browser. But whatever, any browser that works is a good browser :V

But if you make the original Megaman reminiscent of his box art work it could be more beast. Protoman and Megaman looked epic on the Megaman 9 art.

when you are trying to get the upgrade in wheel gator use then charge with of flame stag I played megaman x 2 so many times when It first came out on the super nintendo and my super nintendo still works and I still play x2 some times

Yeah, I was playing through this JUST NOW and in that beginning intro part with the moving 3D X thing, I couldn't get past that before X dropped in to that boss-demo thing myself. So I think it's probably true for most copies of the game. Maybe.

I think I'm going to be following this video for the first few parts of this game, but I seriously seriously doubt I'm going to beat it. But man, this music is cool, so it's totally worth it.

Speaking of WhitemageSerenia and Mega Man X, I started playing Mega Man X8 and couldn't figure out where all the items where in that game. Then I came across WhitemageSerenia's LP and it helped me get through the game with everything. I even gained more metals because of him. I've always started with Sponge Wire, Free Subtank and Free Heart Tank and easy boss is a great way to go, then I head to wheel gator. The gator tank and the boss is the greatest level/boss in the entire series. So much awesome.
