Perhaps the products are good, and I agree that if you wish to become a Shaklee representative, you should TRY their products. However, when you join Shaklee, and pay your entry fee, you are then required to buy hundreds of dollars of their product for your own use EVERY Month - whether you need it, or want it, or not. This means the money keeps coming in, as you are obliges to buy, buy, buy.
@lynmacdonald whoever told you this is how it works is grossly misinformed. When you become a member, like costco or sams club or whatever, you are under NO obligation to buy a single thing if you don't want to. HOWEVER, if you are interested in making it a business and want to earn money from sharing shaklee, then yes, you do have to buy some stuff each month yourself in order to qualify for your bonuses... but that should be a nonissue for a business builder or why are they doing shaklee?
@lynmacdonald I have been a Shaklee rep for 25 years and you don't have to pay anything to join today, just buy Vitalizer. And, you are not required to buy anything unless you want to carry inventory, which we do not recommend. You were misinformed by your sponsor obviously and for that I am so sorry. It is a remarkable opportunity for anyone who wants good health and a sustainable income for life that can be passed to their children.
I was a distributor years ago. Dr Shaklee was still alive and still active in his business. The organic quality was as high as it could go. He was a great believer in pure foods. I used to love the avacodo and apricot cream, Basic H, seasalt facial scrub, etc. The smaller vitamin line was all that was needed. I don't see any of my favorites now. I question if everything is still high grade organic or not.
@JaniceParton shaklee has only built on it's prior knowledge and research... if anything, the oldies but goodies are better than ever thanks to new studies.
I've started using Shaklee with my cleaning business. Very impressed with these products! I have yet to try the vitamins and beauty products but the cleaning products I've tried are great. What I love most is that it barely has any smell so it doesnt burn my lungs while cleaning in small areas with poor ventilation.
I hear ya! years ago I nearly gassed myself while cleaning a friend's bathroom with bleach - poor ventilation & burned my lungs. . . to this day, bleach really bothers me.
A pyramid is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, often without any product or service being delivered. Pyramid schemes are illegal in the U.S. Shaklee's "Multi-level Sales Plan is definitely not a pyramid scheme! I've been a faithful user of Shaklee since 1972-- loved the products then -- and still do! I'm 73 now, eat a simple diet of wholesome food & use the supplements & have no health complaints!
great company! I have been using the products for about 2 months and I feel an amazing difference compared to my vitamins bought at Whole Foods. Not only that but the company's philosophy is fantastic. I looked up Shaklee roots on youtube - it speaks volumes! My experience has convinced me to become a distributor for this fantastic company.
i SORRY I COULDNT HEAR THAT GOOD, IS IT A GOOD BUSINESS TO INVAST IN BECAUSE, I JUS GOT LAID OFF AND HAVE 4 KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF FOUR, I CAN'T WASTE ANY MONEY

A question? if you stop distribute for Shaklee, but didn't leave the company. Do you still get paid? Like a on going income?

I'm not sure why you would reply privately. Can you post your response to share it with others?
