  • The like/ dislike split is a testament to the universe. In everything you feel and everything you do, every time you laugh and every time you fall apart, every time you feel and every time you extend this feeling to others, one thing remains true: negativity is small and insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe.

  • My life can suck, but i don't care, i listen to the guitarist with the curly hair~

  • come back and play seattle we love you soooooooo much

  • Who else listens to this on a daily basis?

  • This is my theme song for life.

  • This is why I am from America and I hate most of our artists and I wish I lived in the UK

  • @Denise12michelle this is why you are from America?

  • @Unleashed90876 I think the grammar proves it more than anything

  • January 27, 2012

It's been a week since I've set out to find icewolf461's comment and I'm still no closer to finding it. Food and supplies are running low and the weather isn't cooperating. The only thing that's keeping me from giving up is the determination to find out what made Thecowofwar's hipster senses tingle.

  • @shockzrock god speed sir

  • @shockzrock Show all comments, Crt+F type icewolf461. Done!

  • @shockzrock ill airdrop you more rations

  • @SeanRupertKent Die in a fire. Right now. Stop living.

  • @MultiChocobo You are acting as if this song makes a totally different view on life and it really has pure effort, meaning, and originality. The song offers none of that, and even worse, it's title is stupid for a title. If they were trying to make a remembrance for Joy Division then they should have not even made this song, or made a song influenced off JD rather than making it a song about dancing, not even like Ian Curtis...

  • @SeanRupertKent Now, I'm going to go ahead and assume that English is not your first language, since you've made word choice errors in your response and comprehension errors as to the meaning and lyrics of this song. You'll find that the irony is in dancing when you are unhappy, and that's beautiful. I'm sure that Ian Curtis would agree... he did name his band 'Joy Division', rather ironically, after all, referencing a bordello in a Nazi Concentration Camp... Both bands are awesome.

  • @thecircumvent If your main point of me being wrong is grammar, then you are a dumbass. Sorry, I didn't know I would be arguing with an English teacher. Lyrics also need soul, not just good vocabulary. Curtis danced through emotion. You can't speak for Curtis either. Ian sang of his hardships of his life, not something to dance to. Also, the name JD had meaning behind it too, it was to reach out against fascism, and the post-punk era delivered that. This song doesn't deliver these elements.

  • Stupid lyrics. Not a good song, especially for the British artists. This song doesn't have any correlation with JD, and should be ashamed, especially when JD always had meaning in their music.

  • @SeanRupertKent It does have a correlation. It's ironic because Joy Division is notorious for their music being near impossible to dance to.

  • @imDezrt Yeah, Ian danced for expression. Music was his escape and he didn't write to be silly. This song, as I was saying, shouldn't have the title cause they aren't showing Ian Curtis' and his expression. When he danced, he danced to let his emotions and wrote music to almost keep him sane. The song however makes JD look like some silly dance band and has no true meaning.

  • @DeadWorldMarksman Yea, he's just english, it's the accent. It's why english rock is infinatley better then american rock, just sayin'.

  • Cute!

  • Comment removed

  • I listen to this when i'm sad, then i watch englishman levitate and i feel better!

  • @DeadWorldMarksman they're from Liverpool, England.

i loooove the way he sings/speaks. i love accents. ^-^

  • Why is this the first time I am hearing this song? it is perfection in every form.

  • What the fuck, I got an ad with a girl throwing up (with all the horrifying sounds) what appeared to be memories?

    Way to kill the mood.

  • MIND...OFFICIALLY...BLOWN!!!!!!!!

  • This song always cheers me up :D

  • I'm being serious when I ask this, where can I buy shoes like that?

  • Cool shoes.

  • Ian Curtis used to dance like a motherfucker when Joy Division would do shows...just saying its not impossible to dance to it.

  • @DtotheP1313

That really is the only way you can describe Ian Curtis's dancing hahaha!!

This song sucks, it's an insult to jd.

  • He probably turned that amp up to 11...

  • inbetweeners reminded of this <3

  • This always wakes me up!

  • It's ironic because it's virtually impossible to dance to Joy Division.

  • Sweet!

  • Haven't heard this song in so long... still so good :')

  • love <3

  • BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR 6 MONTHS YESSS MISSION ACCOMPLISHED AND ITS SICK!!!!!

  • @SSProductionsChannel They're Australian ...

  • @Torchic956 lol last time I checked Liverpool is in England which is in the UK. They're Brits.

  • ian curtis is turning in his grave...

  • @ZACKnirvana Either that or Ian would probably be pleased he killed himself before THIS… It certainly makes me want to jump off the nearest bridge.

  • I started playing this on my guitar, but unfortunately i didn't start levitating...

  • This band is so amazing.

  • I only stopped dancing to scream

    "GREATEST SONG EVER MADE!!!!!"

  • The search for icewolf461's comment begins.

  • @RunningWithFork its the top rated comment...you fail.

  • @NlFTEH Exactly, It would appear that you have failed to completely comprehend my comment.

  • @RunningWithFork lame joke is lame? yup.

  • @NlFTEH You are entitled to your opinions. Though, I would recommend proper grammar when doing so.

  • @RunningWithFork hU|-| K4n Y3W s4yE d4T 4g3N?/??!1!!

  • @NlFTEH ...what?

  • @Xcinef he said " HUH CAN YOU SAY THAT AGAIN?/??!1!!"

    how can you not tell..

  • This song never gets old.

  • Lets forget about our problems for a few hours and.......

    .

    .

    .

    .Let's Dance To Joy Divison!

  • @lacivita15 Well, what music DO you like then? What would you describe as "good"

  • this has got to be one of my favorite songs

    ever

  • i suck? your music sucks. forreal.what makes it good? it doesnt even have rythm. it sounds like a bunch of pathetic teens in a garage experimenting with instruments and trying to sing.... bitch

  • @lacivita15 lol u fucking fail since u didnt reven reply to that guy, go troll somewhere else faggot.... XD

  • @grandslam1231 Thanks for having my back, I would've hated on that guy sooner but he didn't reply to me haha

  • @lacivita15 why do you have to hate on a genre of music? if you dont like it you dont have to tell people. Move the fuck on with your life and listen to what makes you happy. You are the penical of irony trolling on this video. Just be happy with what you like. I dislike, most other genres but i dont go on the internet every day crying like a bitch about indie music. You suck as a person. Let people be happy with their love in music and go fuck yourself the wombats are awesome.

  • @lacivita15 You'd have a good point, if it weren't for the fact that you suck and you aren't a person.

  • @TrulyNerd no it just sucks. you wanna hear real music then look up jonny craig boy.

  • @lacivita15 You suck. I don't even consider you to be a person.

  • haha albert einstein's hair full of secrets.... :)

  • @LiveLaughLove5608 yeah they are british

  • are they British... sorry if this is a dumb question btw

  • Does the wombats sound like the kooks to anyone else?

  • @TheAnnabellelovely You mean do they sound British? Then yes. Haha but yea, they are very similar which is why I like both bands

  • Why is it that whenever I mention Indie music to someone they always ask me I listen to Indian music... *sigh*

  • lol i danced to this on my longboard, i got such dirty looks. fuck em i love the wombats and i love being happy :)

  • i was dancing to joy division when i remembered about this song

ie: joy division brought me here

  • Unlike this band, Joy Division had originality. Which is exemplified by the fact that there was a well-known garage punk band in the 80s from Ohio called the Wombats. Who were way better that these guys. I wish so-called indie kids would come up with their own subculture and stop artlessly misappropriating other people's cool ideas.

  • @reaperpro no there isnt another band called the wombats....... i looked all over google, wikipedia, youtube and itunes...... so either fuck off or enjoy the music you came to bag on

  • @APrettyCoolBro: Try searching for Wombats - Bye Bye baby right here on YouTube. They won't let me post a link here. They released an album (which I own - 'Zontar Must Die'), an EP and some 7"s on the venerable Voxx label. I'm sorry dude, but the truth is the truth. I appreciate you telling me to fuck off and being a huge expert on indie and punk and everything.

  • @reaperpro Okay since I'm not a douche I'll admit it is pretty good and I was wrong about their existence, but how can you compare that to this?! they are two completely different genres of music, and how is this unoriginal? This and their new album is some of the most original indie stuff i can find....... Oh and when in my previous comment did i claim i was a "huge expert on indie and punk and everything"? Cause you know, obviously you are because you know some obscure punk band from the 80's

  • is there a difference between people who listen to the joy division because of the wombats, and the people who listen to the wombats because of joy division?

  • I want a pet wombat now ftw.

  • where have i heard this song before? a tv show or movie perhaps? a video game? does anyone know/ its killing me. it wasnt One Tree Hill

  • ian curtis rolls in his grave. the only people who like this are non-joy division fans. guaranteed.

  • @rainwatercassette I like Joy Division..

  • @rainwatercassette you know this song is made to be ironic right?

  • 15 people cant dance to joy division

  • damn havent heard this in a minuet

  • Haha.

  • Those kids remind me of Children of the Corn.

I don't like Children of the Corn.

  • Song is about the irony of dancing to joy Division because it's a post punk type style. Hard to dance to unless your not going up and down and because of Ian's epilepsy dance. It's not saying their bad just saying that the dancing is hard. :s

  • @LiveJoyDivision you're completely wrong. its ironic to dance to joy division, bc joy divisions songs are dark and very depressing. this song is talking about dancing and being happy and raising glasses.....joy division's music is about isolation, depression, broken relationships, suicide, etc......IE. that is why its ironic. One CAN dance to joy division, its just not your typical dancing, but like punk dancing, just kindv losing control

  • @MustHaveRocknRoll what do you think post punk music is??? Happy??? -.-

  • @MustHaveRocknRoll

    gosh, that's so true!

  • This makes me want to listen to Joy Division. Love it.

  • The kids are really creepy.

  • Holy crap his telecaster is awesome!

  • ..He looks crazy..To bad I have the same hair style..XD

  • @ToCoolTess i have the same hair too... but i'm a girl lol

    :P

  • @BlueburryStorm13 sammmeee here :/

  • i wanna be an astronaut just so i can drum in antigravity like this guy

  • I love how they got the crowd involved when they played this song as the finale of their iTunes gig last month.

  • I love the sound of this song reminds me of a good time when all the problems don't exist and just dance of joy and getting crazy with a girl and have sex like a porn pro....I'm sexy.

  • <3 The lead singer has an amazing VOICE<3

  • "so...what kinda music you listen to?"

    "indie"

    "huh? whats indie"

    *sigh*

  • @icewolf461 Everybody knows what Indie is. It is very mainstream at the moment.

  • @BohkaTheAlternative not if you live in a town of dumbasses. i have that conversation ALL the time lol

  • @icewolf461 NOT THIS?

  • @icewolf461 its alternative rock*

  • @icewolf461 well the wombats would be more classified as alternitve rock or electronic rock based on the rest of their music not indie how ever this song is very indie but not the rest of their music.

  • @icewolf461 my hipster senses are tingling

  • @Thecowofwar tell that to the other million of hipster comments out there :3 i just go with the flow xD

  • @Thecowofwar Do you know who or what a hipster is?

  • @icewolf461 This is the same label that Nickleback releases music on, it's the farthest you can possibly get from indie. Go fuck yourself.

  • @Zoninator Agreed, "indie" is more like bands that have paved the whole path for themselves like WeAreIAm , everywhere they are now they have earned!

  • @icewolf461 Lolhipster

  • The music is infectious without a doubt. Feels good!!

  • HOLLY SHIT...The lead singer reminds me of John Lennon for some strange reason and to top it off they are from Liverpool...ROCKIN

  • this song always makes me happy

  • SOH HA PEE!

  • i like this song.

  • 3:08-3:14

  • 567wdqgusiadbsouifhdshf8odshfiuhds]iufhduhfdsf

^Sorry I was cleaning the jizz off my keyboard

  • @lovesoursugar If you actually jizzed on your keyboard, you would have deleted the random text; because in your comment you noticed it.

  • Do The Wombats ever play in America? <3

  • Let's dance to Let's Dance to Joy Division.

  • Ahhhh the lead singer turns me onnn

  • UGH! I was so looking forward to hearing the laughter at the end. On the track after everything is done the just laugh.

  • The lead singer looks like Tom's co-worker from (500) Days of Summer!

  • How Ironic XD

  • 2:29 is my favorite

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone remember the summer where this went mainstream?

  • I remember listening to this when it was free on itunes so many years ago...

  • Can't really understand this song until you listen to the band "joy division". Terrible band and no one would ever dance to trash.

  • @1wrongstu1 You my friend...are an idiot. You have no idea what acual musical art Joy Division had, the emoion and feelings their songs brings. Now though this song is fine, in simple terms it's pop trash.

  • haven't heard this song since it was on Fuse TV. good times, great song

  • like this if ur watching in 2011

  • @emlovsmusic no

  • @crusstyjuggler :P tobad!
