Nelson I now live in Mulberry Florida, we belong to the Buffalo Bills Backers of Brandon florida and we celebrate Dyngus Day for the past 5 years thanks again Bob Dziengielewski
BoY I miss that Market sooo Much.Have lived in Florida for 20 years and there is NOTHING like that here.Have to go there next time I am home.I can smell the fresh Polish sausage now
Next time anyone goes there they should ask the lady with the butter to change her gloves. A lot of good they did when she shakes hands with someone and then touches the butter again.
I live in Michigan and am from Buffalo. Even as a German I MISS and LOVE the Market and Dyngus Day. The pussywillows and waterguns would get us fiesty while running around the house. Here in Michigan , they call it Punchkie (SIc) Day and eat gigantic doughnuts. IT just isn't the same as Dyngus celebration. I MISS BUFFALO!!!!!!
Great job Nelson, you did the best by Buffalo for internet promotion. Been going there for many years and have been to the Dyngus Day parades. Great to tour all the Old East Side Bars at that time.
I live in San Diego - I've been a Californian all of my life. I visited Buffalo for the first time (visiting the in-laws), many years ago, and I expected to be disappointed by that city.
Instead, I have fallen deeply in love with Buffalo. The food, the people, the neighborhoods. Buffalonians (Buffaloons?) have much to be proud of. I treasure every visit!
Terrific video. Miss my hometown and watching this clip on the broadway market made me HUNGRY. Thanks Nelson. Keep up the good work in getting our Buffalo treasures out there.
GREAT video. I have to contest one thing, the lady who says she invented the butter lamb. I will be 70 before Easter 2010 and went to the Broadway Market as a little girl with my parents and grandparents. Butter lambs were in existence when I was born-1940 - I think that lady was also quite a small girl at that time. She'd have to be 85 or older.
Great Buffalo booster video. Thank you. PS -There is nothing like Broadway Market-OR Buffalo FOOD!
