I really like this kit. But I like this specific kit because it has this one song in it thy I really like. It's called Barrel House. But the kit is to expensive? Does this kit have Barrel House?
@KevinVanRillaer Most modules allow you to hook up triggers to them, electric pads are like pads with triggers in them. As for the TD-9, I've seen some music store offer it with external triggers, so I think they will support your Ddrum ones.
Yes, the TD9SX has actually been discontinued and replaced by the TD9K2 and TD9KX2 kits. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
The current version of the TD9 kit is the TD9K2 and TD9KX2. I'm not sure if we'll be seeing a new version of this kit, but we'll find out soon enough. 2012 NAMM show starts January 19th and we'll be out there checking out all the latest gear. Stay tuned to our youtube channel for updates. Thanks for your interest.
ok so i bought this kit. now i was wondering why i cant hear my drum hahahahha. like the module shows me playing and such but no sound comes..now im plugging in my i pod ear phones..do i need like big headphones?
I had a question. I am thinking about buying this kit. I really like the sounds and how you can customize the sounds. My only worry is about recording on protools and logic. I read that you said that I can use a midi to usb to connect to my mac but i see that you are connected through left and right from the module. could i record that way through my mixer? i just want to be sure i can use this on an album before i spend all of that money.
Yes, you can take the audio outputs from the module and plug them into any mixer or recording device. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
iam looking to buy the roland tdkx2 drum kit will the roland pm10 be strong enough for this kit and loud enough cause ill be practing with an electric guitar but he has his own amp
This set is badass. Im getting one soon. I have a question though that maybe someone can answer. I want to know if I can program individual sounds to each individual drum head (sort of like a beat machine)..? If so, this would make making beats MUCH easier. Get at Me!
my question is can I load my own sounds that I already have on my computer. Those sounds are not bad but I wouldn't use them in my album. So can this be hooked up to a program like reason? or pro tools?
Sure, you can use the TD9SX with any software you like. You'll just use a MIDI to USB interface and connect to your Mac or PC. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
Due to our dealer agreements with Roland, we are not allowed to ship outside of the United States. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions.
I am interested in ordering this kit from kraft. Im stuck between the yamaha dtxreme III and this one. I am leaning more towards this one but my main points of interest are playing along with real songs from an ipod or usb and being able to eliminate the drum track from the song. is this possible with this kit? also i have a macbook pro and am trying to find a kit that has simple recording features that are high quality through the computer. Your feedback would be much appreciated. thanks.
You can definitely play along with an MP3 player by plugging into the 1/8 inch "MIX IN" port. There is no way to eliminate the drum track from a prerecorded song because all of the instruments have already been mixed together and combined into two tracks (stereo). You would also be able to use this kit in conjunction with any recording software. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
Absolutely. The drum samples in the Roland TD9SX are very realistic, and would be suitable for any recording environment. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
If you purchase a DRUM ESSENTIALS BUNDLE you'd also be getting a pair of drum sticks. A COMPLETE DRUM BUNDLE would receive a speaker system in addition to all those items. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
You could take the main output of the TD9 module and plug it into a guitar amp. It would work, but I don't think it would sound very good. A guitar amplifier is designed to mainly reproduce mid and high frequencies, not the full-range sound of a drum kit. A bass amp, keyboard amp, or small PA system would be a better choice. Thanks for watching!
hey thanks so much for uploading this video. i was at best buy messing with it cause i was planning on getting it for my studio. and i was actually 2nd guessing it cause i felt that it was to complicated but not anymore. thanks
Thanks for your interest. Actually we do have a few of the TD9SX kits in stock (as of 3/16/10). Techmaster is correct in that we are temporarily backordered on the TD9S kit. So, depending on which kit you'd like we may be able to help you out. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Can I connect Ddrum Triggers (used with acoustic drums) to the Roland TD9 Sound Module or can I only play with electric pads?

Volume up? Can you hear the kit if you plug into speakers? Your earbuds should work just fine.

@nyanks15 pm stands for personal monitor. It's not loud but probably loud enough, depending on what amp the electric guitar is hooked up on.
Also, it's only 30 watt I believe.
