  • I saw Gene Loves Jezebel, The Smithereens, The B52's, The Church, The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, The Ramones, Siouxsie and The Banshees, and a bunch of others during the 80's and they are all awesome!

  • Muy buena banda!! Cuanta variedad había en esa época y ahora no hay casi nada.

Los grandes responsables de esto, son las discográficas que comenzaron a vender porquería.

  • There was nothing gay about these guys. I can tell u that!

  • Where can I get this version of the song? Also... Wikipedia is stupid... How is this Gothic rock? I've heard goth rock before (the real goth rock like bauhaus, siouxsie and the banshees, and the cure) Sounds nothing like this.

  • LA MEJOR EPOCA,LOS MEJORES RECUERDOS

  • I Loved the 80's and 90's music. Such a wonderful time forgoing out.

  • New Wave Bands ruled in the late 80's and early 90's....Very creative!

  • I saw them when they backed Billy Idol in Glasgow awesome!!!!!!

  • I saw these guys or girls play way back in the 80's and they played with Echo and The Bunnymen as well as New Order. They all put on a great show and it was in New York too. A month before them I saw The Cult and Love and Rockets...awesome!!

  • @yetibiker08 That's awesome, I'm jealous! I was born in '82 and lucky that I had parents who were/are very interested in music. I was exposed to great music from the beginning but I often wish I had been at least a teen during the 80's so I could have seen some of these great artists play live.

  • @NatashaDawn82

I saw Depeche Mode, Flock of Seagulls, The Fixx, The Cure, The The, Violent Phemmes, The Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie, Let's Active, Gene Loves Jesebel and New Order.....

  • @yetibiker08 Now I'm really jealous! The Cure have been one of my very favourites since I was small. Sounds like you've had some great experiences!

  • @NatashaDawn82

While in Miami, back in 1987, I saw The Beastie Boys open for ...RUN DMC now that was awesome and I also saw Information Society open for Faith No More!! Duran Duran were pretty good too as were Echo and The Bunnymen!! The 80's was the magic time as were the early 90's they were special too.

  • efewf sdfsdfsdfs

  • <3<3<3<3 I love this song

  • this was a fun dance club hit back in the day- they always reminded me of Buffalo Bill from Silence of The Lambs... ya'know?

  • The guy on drums is so cool! xD

  • My dad told me about some bands he was listing to when he got my age in the 80's and Gene Loves Jezebel was one of them! I love this song, and some others of theirs, but unfortunately I don't like one of their songs (well, I only have heard three or four) so it problely can't do it.. xD But the song is called Motion of love, or something like that..

  • "can't stand Gene Loves Jezebel

if there is a god in heaven

    sure that band will

    burn in hell"

    Dead Milkmen - Bad Party.

    thats how i got here.

    yeah they suck. hairy ass.

  • @dig6dog You're an idiot. And you don't really know much about music, do you?

  • @Electrofukker nope. i'm just a audio engineer with 12 years of professional music under my belt. what would *i* know.

  • @dig6dog you are a fucking dumbass go listen to jay z ya twit

  • @TwinBoom not everyone's a gay goth like you

  • @dig6dog dont watch the video ya fuckin wanker go piss off and watch yo mtv raps

  • @dig6dog you suck balls you prick!!!!!god love you!!!

  • Out of this world!

  • LOL VCRs gotta love em

  • JLG is a great band, Desire is a great song! This video is exceptional. The 80s were full of imagination and experimentation musically and visually. There is still a bit of that today but it is extremely rare. I find it in today's prog bands like Porcupine Tree, RPWL, Incandescent Sky, and several others but you won't find any of it on the radio or your TV. Long live internet radio! Visit Aural Moon Dot Com to get a sense of what I am saying.

  • W.Y.G.I.W.Y.S. Desiiiire!

  • great band & awesome song

  • Comment removed

  • I don`t like your style, Mr. GC, but I love your ENOURMOUS DESIRÉ.....

  • Not gay, But a Cool Jam. In 1987 this song was KIng it rocked. And got the girls in the mood for banging . Trust me. I played it dozen of times, and my cock was never disappointed.

  • @lp32862 Your comment hold weight. I think in some ways they have a pronounced gay vibe, but they did seem to help quite a bit with the ladies back in the day. And they did rock. I saw them live around that time and it truly kicked ass.

  • @onbradley ;-) hello, hey not gay. Believe me in the eighties they all looked like this. I guess if they would dress like this now you would have a point there. But look at the early 90ies and also late 80ies bands like bon jovi, they'd dress similar and their hair was also very long and looked like someone just survived the electrical chair. And bands like the thompson twins, you know, the 80ies rocked and i'm glad i survived them ;-) By the way, the music is all that counts.

  • @cdelands dude maybe your faggy buddies looked like that back then, but nobody I knew. we ran that kindo fo faggotry out of town!

  • @onbradley That was after they boned your sister and your girlfriend ass-pirate...

  • @onbradley and they left gladly to get away from people like you...and they will do it for the end of time

  • @cdelands Well the red haired one and me made out at Revival in Philadelphia so...

  • @cdelands There is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. You reason here as if it were a bad thing.

  • @cdelands absolute rubbish what a moron ,what has music got and dress to do with being gay,and at least they had original style, not like the stinking tracksuit morons who are faceless ,styleless, twats the earth has ever had to witness, fuck you all.

  • @cdelands what does looking gay have to do with anything?

  • @cdelands YO--it's really homophobic and ignorant to put down being gay too--like he may be gay dude! DUH! GAY ROCKS AND IS HOT U HOMOPHOBE! COming from a GAY GOTH GLAM BOY! we just are HOT PERIOD! loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious

  • @cdelands Amen. I loved these times. I'm sitting here remembering all the good times with a huge smile on my face.

  • @onbradley if you think this is so gay why did you take time to log in, go on youtube then search for this video and comment. Hypocritcal prick.

  • @onbradley you know what im giving you the finger right now!!!! go to hell!!!!! go to the bathroom where you belong and go take a dump!!!!! you suck!

  • You can say what you want about this group but back in the days these boys were de shit biaattches..................

  • Kicks serious Arse!

  • I remember seeing these guys play at CSUF at noon on the Slab. You could see the frustration with the fact that nobody was into their show at all. It was really depressing slot for any band to play. Not many bands could get a lunch crowd, with sun barring down on them, excited. The only time the crowd got excited, was when we started a chant for them to play the “Shuh Shuh” song, which is this one. They reluctantly complied with an “Awe fuck it” and then promptly ended the show.

  • I think these guys are great, but i remember the time they pissed off all their fans at an all ages show here in AZ many years ago. made the mistake of playing a sweaty little club in the middle of summer, quit two songs in made rude remarks and got called "The Twinkie Twins" by local free paper, needless to say, twinkies were chucked at the stage when they finally got around to doing make up set in better weather...still, good band, great song

  • theCrapture they will be playing in Portugal at GSM FEST 2010 - 3 of september, check at gsmfest2010

  • I don't know if this is glam, goth, new romantic or whatever, i only know that i like this song and these guys sounds great

  • honestly the new romantics/goths and glam metal guys were all just fans of bowie and t. rex and thats where the look comes from

  • this song takes me back to my middle school days in 88'. i love gene love jezebel.....they were unlike any group in the 80's thats why they were so cool. actually the real reason that i loved them so much is that the lead singer looked like a guy i use to have a crush on but they were also cool. aren't there twins in this group? i always thought that blonde guy and the other singer looked alike.

  • What a great great band! I miss this guys

  • Been thinking about this song the last couple of weeks. Saw them for free at the Los Angeles Street Scene in 1986 on the same stage as Dramarama. The big rumor that day was that the Ramones were going to play at the end of the day. The Ramones never showed, but it was worth being there to see Gene Loves Jezebel. Shoo! Shoo!

  • theyhave been amazing ever sense james stevenson was the guitar player! =)

  • 20th anniversary coming up really soon. What a throw back....
