funny thing is if it had been the more working class guys tryna sell to the lawyers they would have probably got a much better price, but because they were posh i think the lawyers decided to fuck with them.
fair play, if someone came into my work end of day desperate to sell something theres no way id offer what they asked for. their desperation made it obvious that there was a bargain to be had.
Lord Sugars and his aids are excellent in spotting the weak and strong points of all candidates. There are many good points worth learning in each episode.
He's such an idiot to sell it for Half price. He couldn't argue him out for finding a middleground. He could have just said "No, I can find a way better deal than that, Bubye!! "
Then that man would have stopped him and said , "What do you wanna sell it for" ... If I don't get a middle ground, then its not a good deal
Those idiot boys were far too excited to make a sale at the beginning, they should have looked elsewhere. That is an absolute STEAL at £50 the fact they ran in and smiling their faces off and happy to have an opportunity to sell they must have looked bloody mugs and they deserved to be robbed.
LOOL the solicitors fucked around with them soo hard new they were just a bunch of rich folks who didnt have a clue what they were doing soo ripped them off as much as they could
it's kinda funny but sad how the accountant man bullied them into lowering their price to 50 quid but michael should've been more adament like the accountant guy was. he's sayin he's a great salesman.. uh no! and raef is well posh guvnaaa!!
@lovesbth tbf they were trying to flog 40 kilos worth of fish to an accountant, As soon as Michael walked in there he had no chance of getting a proper deal because it showed how desperate they were
8 guys, and not a pair between'um. That snarky bald guy manager really took them for a ride. I would've threatened to walk when he refused to settle on 80.
i work as an it project manager and these lot wouldnt last a fucking day..
a successful pm needs to IDENTIFY the tasks required for success, ASSIGN those tasks to the RIGHT people and ensure those tasks are completed in a GIVEN TIMEFRAME and always, always make sure that they know the STATUS of each task.
a really good pm will then look for further opportunities once those tasks are taken care of and be ready with a plan if any of those tasks should fail.
I agree, it really is basic, taking an hour to review the stock while setting up, identifying and pricing it properly before selling is just plain common sense. There are a lot of happy people tucking into their 5 pound lobster tonight. If only we could find out what and where they will sell on the first week of the next series, we'd be in for a real bargin.
why would these stupid people tell the buyers that they are trying to get rid of their inventory? Of course knowing this they would do whatever they can to slash the price...
Its good when people stand up n take the slack when passing it on would be possible but only as long as they keep the same talk in the boardroom, some dont n Sir Alan can misjudge or take a liking to those who stand up and show they want the job more, it aint easy, each series the winner comes a different path to the job which is good> I think Sir Alan does it partially for variety and to give different backgrounds a job oportuninty. Its good. What you guys think?
Rule number one of negotiating: don't bring your produce up to the client at the last minute; if you can't negotiate from a position of strength, PRETEND you're in a position of strength.
50 quid for the lot...oh dear. they have been eaten alive by the first professional they have come across. "yeah, I am the best of the best! I do this and that...and sell 200pound or market value worth of fresh fish for 50quid!!" Oh dear..
this was an easy task - and the most difficult thing in this task was selling - the boys were selling the fish at a price when if they even sell all of the fish they won't make £600!!! for example if they had one type of fish - 60kg, then they should immediately work out that they should sell it for at least £10 a kilo - why the hell didn't they do it???
basically what I meant was that they clearly had more money than sense, so didn't need to shaft the team like that. but i agree that michael was shite (toff mentality).
@Jeffcoaster Sir Alan had a far mroe difficult time on his climb up the ladder, he had to fight hard for everything he got; Trump fought also but he had a much easier time than Sir Alan. I admire both men; Sir Alan has a slight edge though.
@Jeffcoaster Cos he's not a wannabe. Trump took over his dad's real estate company and had a good step up into business. Lord Alan dropped out of school, grafted for a living and earned everything he got.
