  • What the puck? This is just pure luck!!

  • @appleormac That would be how you make the 7-10, pure luck.

Actually, in houses where the pins bounce out, some people will make it more often than others because they throw the ball faster. However, Voss is not one of those people.

  • I did that once :D felt so awesome

  • @ShadowKylar lucky, what bowling ball size did you use?

  • @Swampertchamp really don't remember it was years ago... but nothing special lol

  • I've bowled for just a bout 10years and I have not made nor seen that picked up in person...

  • xtra frame is awful! my god! they don't even have their own computer graphics for the score?

  • What channel is Xtra Frame on?

  • Actually, you couldn't make the 7-10 without the bowling ball..........:/

  • The Big Nasty in the background?

  • That got him and his partner into the tv show and they went on to win it. Talk about spares win matches

  • was this at the brunswick zone in Simi Valley?

  • @PLERKTA this was in Wheat Ridge, CO

  • that 1 guy who dislikes this was that other guy on the screen =D

  • Comment removed

  • I need new speakers.

  • actually a bowling ball does have something to do with it. different bowling balls are harder or softer depending on the coverstock, and weight. and believe me or not....the color also has something to do with it. But it is MOSTLY luck, but a bowling ball DOES have something to do with it..

  • @ThinkDodger that was in Wheat Ridge Colorado.

  • Thats in Montclair correct?

  • I picked up a 7-10 out of so called anger also. Threw the split on the 11th ball so it shouldn't have mattered. But i threw at the 10 and somehow got the 7. It would be cool to have it recorded though!

  • Luck, power ,and anger mixed together equals some 7-10 conversions...I had a guy in my league back in the early 1990s convert it ....and he ran behind the counter and shut the lane off and then ran into the back of the pin setter area and took the pins so he could save them..kinda overkill but whatever

  • that showed the most enthusiasim for hitting that ive ever seen. ive watched like 10 7-10 split vids today and like all of them the guy who got it just like walked away like it was nothing.

  • was that we malott on 32 sec?

  • @zeroboy589520 Duh.

  • probably one of the most beautiful 7-10 conversion

  • The girl Voss is bowling with is pretty XD

  • @jamoXDlemon her name is diandra asbaty

  • He made a 7-10 split just like that on the 61st U.S Opern

  • ...I almost always make half the 7-10 split in one shot. I almost always pick it up

in two shots. the 10-pin one frame, then the 7-pin another frame. (grin)

  • stormin norman ftw, just 5 min ago

  • I love it when those messenger pins come at the last second & hit the other ones down, love it! It makes me nervous my own self when i'm bowling, thinking i missed a strike, then here comes the messenger pin and knocks it down! That 7-10 split, i'll get one day. I'm learning, by watching these videos here on u-tube.

  • it clearly wasnt a perfect stike ball.... he came in weak and drove through the 3.

  • I wouldn't say it's necessarily all luck, since BV has made it at least twice recorded on video. The best thing to do is hit it on the INSIDE of the pain next to the ball return side, since there is more equipment there, it's most likely to bounce off that.

  • Nice and yes bowling is a sport

  • Voss is the man

  • this is similar to how jess stayrook connected on this same shot in the early 90s...

  • I believe that Diandra Asbaty, Voss' doubles partner, is telling Voss at 1:14 that seeing him pick up the split gave her goosebumps. What do you think? -Tom McElheney, Bowling World Magazine

  • DEJA VU!

  • at 0:29 thats Wes Malott in the back!

  • 00:49 little too loud there buddy!!!

  • @footballhippo48

hey fat fuck, its just as much of a sport as football, go and bowl somethin good and post it if its so easy,, and btw no bumpers kid..

  • Nice pick-up...Bad Shirt.

  • whoa brotha WHOA!

  • Wow! What a shot!

  • i have seen brian voss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Clutch

  • BECAUSE IT IS A SPORT

  • bowling is a real sport!!!!!!!

  • okay people. if bowling is not a sport and its so easy. then tell me.. whats your highest score ever? yeah thats what i thought, if its so easy then go do it, bowl a 300, post it on you tube, you know whats not a sport... curling, wtf, why is that an olympic event but not bowling???

  • @HALLETTproductions There are factors in bowling that does not make it an olympic sport but it is still a SPORT. Go clarify your facts before blabbering nonsense in front of the whole world.

  • @HALLETTproductions That´s exactely the point: There are so many olympic sports like curling etc. that it doesn´t make any sense, why bowling shouldn´t be an olympic sport

  • If i got a face lift like his i would make the 7/10

  • You get a face lift and you can do anything. That new face is tight.

  • hahaha, i agree with you, even Golf should not be considered sport. lol

The bowlers and golfers ask the people to be quiet, do not have their opponents hindering their shots etc. lol.

  • Try doing it sometime fuckhead

  • The best thing is, BV finally earned his exemption for next season and will be on tour one more year!!!!

  • O.o wow wow wow that was insane dude :]

  • PRO

  • V why dont u try to go do what they do

  • want ALOT of FOLLOWERS on TWITTER fast? check out my video!! IT WORKS!!!!

  • Just for the record, this is NOT how you pick up a 7-10 haha.

  • Mad pin action. I didn't know thats how its done.

  • لخخخخخاااااااااااااااابييييييييييييييييط

  • pro

  • alot of views :P

  • I didn't realize you could hit it on the inside. I thought you had to hit it from the outside. Guess that's why I've never picked one up. I'll remember that.

  • it works a lot better if you hit off that right wall ad try to get a messenger

came about an inch from getting it once

  • @Tanvan180 Yeah. A lot of people assume that at first. But, there simply isn't enough room out the outside of either pin for the ball to kick it inside. So, your best bet, is to throw it, and get lucky.

  • For everyone watching this, picking up the 7-10 is very skillful and upon throwing the perfect shot, you get "lucky" by having the right reaction. I have picked it up by doing exactly what BV did... you throw cross lane and hit the inside of the 10 driving it into the corner and it bounces back.... sometimes out of the pit onto the deck for a conversion, other times to no avail. If a good bowler is trying to pick it up, this is the "technique" that they use.

  • you got any good stock tips for me Jason? lol gr8 vid

  • He made this to qualify. Then on Sunday Diandra made the 4-7-10 to cement the win. On air and in the interview afterward, she said "I owed Brian after he made the 7-10". And she's in the early part of her pregnancy!. More babes in pro bowling. No doubt.

  • nice recovery

  • Dare him to try doin' it several times and he won't be able to achieve it. He shouldn't have acted as if He really expected to make it. I've seen Efren Reyes played great shots in billiard (different sports though) and when he made a difficult one out of pure luck, he never acted as if he really intended to make it. He always claims that he was just lucky. A very humble person.

  • that has to be luck

    you just can't plan that

  • FUCKING DON!

  • This video makes no sense. I've converted 7-10 splits several times in Wii bowling. What's the big deal?

  • wow u tard thats WII BOWLING not fucking REAL BOWLING there nothing alike get a life

  • His reaction was "FUCK YEAH I'M GETTING LAID"

    Then he was like..

    "Aww fuck bowling"

  • pure luck, fucking guy acting like hes the shit =)

  • lol ehehhe lui il faut qui surveille sa femme ;) pas mal

  • i have only seen this done 1 time at my alley and it was well over 5 years ago... and i bowl a lot. great roll man.

  • was that lucky? or did he actually have that?

  • ive done it before too! mine looked like it was planned though so it was cooler. but i suck at bowling :p

  • epic roll

  • Bowlgasm lol

  • Just wish that a-hole didn't walk across the screen as it happens....

  • It keeps me entertained! What an awesome sport bowling is!

  • That's what your mom said when I was ramming her in the ass.

  • What's a focking neck? Never heard of such things.

  • wow you must be a retarded redneck and married to your sister or something. Its the thing that connects your head to your body, go to school you idiot.

  • I was referring to your inability to spell things correctly. "Focking" is not a word. :)

  • I saw 2007 at the Storm English open, he spares 4,6,7,10

He is the Man of Bowling (alive)

  • My Friend, my Teacher, my Idol! Brian Voss show them all, that is the Style to Bowl! Youre the Man!

  • @IWSIlja

i agree with you 100% He is proving that he is still the king

  • What a weekend for BV

First he spares the 7-10 to keep a place in the TV show, then him and Asbaty go on to win the whole thing and share $50,000!!!

  • And she too, made a tough split in the process!!!

  • thats so awesome !!!!

  • Sure you knew that was coming!! Next time have the guts to say it before he shoots at the 7-10. GREAT SHOT BV!! They will be a force in the finals!!

  • He made it in 2004 US Open in match play. Probably the best split maker ever on the PBA

  • Amazing shot! I was sitting right behind the camera when he did it - the crowd went NUTS!

  • man talk about luck

  • hellll yaaa thats my dad right there VOSS is BOSS shawtyyyy

  • ohhhh!! Is very cool!

  • Great video. Amazingly similar to another video of him converting the same split.

  • Except in the other video, the 10 rolled across the deck a little quicker. I also think he caught a little more of the 10 in that conversion compared to this one. Incredible shot nonetheless, especially under this much pressure!!!!

  • He shot it the same way when he picked it up before. Look to the right under Related Videos by "irishpogi". The same side of the 10 pin. I'm guessing that's where you have to hit it.

  • Well, considering this is a Brunswick center, and the kickback is not set at an angle, I guess so!!!

But you have to knock one of them over in order to have a chance....lol!!!!

  • @vanni9283 ...and not only that, but this is a Brunswick center with the venerable A-2 system as opposed to what I call "the pit of death", that being the GS-X system, in which we have at our home bowling center, All-Star Lanes in Silverdale, WA, where pins never come out of the pit (there is a curtain in the end of the pit that deadens the pins, which greatly reduces the chances of bouncing pins out to convert splits such as the 7-10).

    GREAT SHOT B.V.!!!

  • Well, that being the case, you probably have to hit the pin dead flush on those "pit of death" systems in order to impart action upon it. That was how Mark Roth did it at the Alameda tournament back in 1980 (albeit those machines weren't around at that time).

  • nice. so a reactive ball is advisable to convert a 7-10?

  • He used a plastic ball in the other 7-10 he converted.

  • Don't be silly. Converting the 7-10 split is all luck. A bowling ball has nothing to do with converting the 7-10 split.

  • @TheAmpad Not all luck, some luck maybe, but not all.

  • @TheAmpad bollox agreed there is alot of luck but u need to adjust your ball speed and change your line by a few boards to achieve an probable bounce on the 10 pin

  • You're partly right about the luck concept. While luck one of the biggest concepts, the odds of getting a 7 10 vary depending on the skill of a player. There are three key concepts that add some skill to the 7 10. Speed and bowling ball weight can cause the pin to launch more (heavier balls= More strikes. Why not split conversions?). Finally, there is precision because the professionals say to aim for the easiest pin to hit. The more often you hit one pin, the more likely you are to get both.

  • @TheAmpad

Not exactly, it depends on how the ball hits the pin. Hitting splits, I kill my wrist and come up under the ball to a point where the core has much more of a direct point of impact causing the pin to "lift off" into the air. If you sit there and practice a 7-10 all day long you will eventually catch on how to make it bounce.

  • @TheAmpad i had a friend that was able to make a 7-10 every time he got it, its luck for most people, but for some people its just ALOT of thought lol

  • here we go again
