  • xD I always loved this game...

  • no.

  • there any way to play it on the pc??, if anyone knows how please tell me

  • @elleryhale1

Virtualstation play this fine ... or get a PSP and the Eboot

  • The real question is which is cheesier: Rhapody's "Someday" or Mother's "Pollyanna"? I just can't decide.

  • " I will be waiting patiently until he comes..."

    Story of my life ;_;

  • Always felt this could easily be made into a family film.

  • Looks like Disney has a Comitention

  • Dun da lun da da dun... YAY

  • D'awwww! Kawaii desu yo!

  • Wat.

  • I've only ever heard of this game through name. This just does it, I need to find this game IMMEDIATELY!

  • @NaSandJayZ

You can get this game for the Nintendo DS or if your really lucky find a copy for the Playstation 1.

  • @LilDemona The DS version is trash. Get the PS1 version by any means.

  • @TriggerheartExcelica

What do you mean by trash exactly?

  • @LilDemona Glitches up the hole, reports of freezing, no extra content like NIS America promised, and severely compromised audio quality.

  • @TriggerheartExcelica

Wow... I guess it's a really good thing that I already own the PlayStation 1 version, eh?

  • @LilDemona cool that you own the original ps1 version. Im one of the few that owns the original too, i guess. Its a good game that is far overlooked due to how girly it is. Regardless of how girly it is though, it is one of the finest RPG's that i've played, and left quite a big impression on me. (along with Doom, Super Mario RPG, and FFVII)

  • @neo1234251

It took me a while to get it about six years ago... they stopped selling it in the store so I had to order it online and of course it felt like it was gonna take forever to get to my house XP

  • @LilDemona I guess that makes me even more lucky that i got it in 2002-2003. While my Dad bought it for my sister to play on the ps1 (used i think), i ended up playing it too being that it was a rpg and the cover looked interesting.

  • @NaSandJayZ saddly its really expensive

  • this cornet girl has some serious psychological problems...

  • I don't see any interaction wit the game

  • WTF is this. Maybe it will help my depression.

  • If you guys want to support an English release of the sequels, google: Marl Kingdom sequels NIS" and post on the request forum. It can happen, but despite the people who badly want the sequels-not enough people are commenting or supporting the forum. So post a comment if you ever want to see sequels.

We have to prove to japan through NIS america that localizing the games will be worth it.

  • Awesome, just A-W-E-S-O-M-E <3

  • Kururu is a girl right? because in my game booklet it says it's a secret. I'm certain Kururu is a girl but that part just makes me wonder

  • Why didn't they put this in the DS version?

  • @AlvinsHarmonica they did but it's just not in the storyline you can litsen to it in Encore though. in Jappanese of course

  • What console is this from?

I have the DS game of this and it sings it in Japanese...

(I personally like the Japanese singing better)

    Thanks for posting :)

  • this song is what the illuminati sings every morning

  • BURN THE WITCH!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I feel so MANLY when I sing along with this song!

  • I can't help thinking about Avenue Q when I watch this >.> lol

  • It's reasons like this that make the DS version a joke. :/

  • @ChewToyFromHell Psst, it was on the Playstation first.

  • @cequiaa I'm well aware.

  • @ChewToyFromHell Then does it make the PlayStation a joke?

  • I think he's getting at "this cutscene is proof that the DS port isn't as good as it should of been, and as such is a joke"

  • @LaZodiac Hm? The only differences are that the DS port's songs were in Japanese, had differing art for facial portraits, and had a few extras and songs.

  • Well, isn't the originel a Tactics rpg like Disgaea, while the DS port is a turn based rpg? And hey, for some people the lack of those things would make it a "joke" as ChewToy said.

  • @LaZodiac While that is true, ChewToy said "this" made the DS a joke on a video of the opening theme, not of the turn based battle.

  • Maybe he prefers his lolita' sounding like full grown women then, you know, lolitas. Who knows.

  • Broadway's got nothing on this.

  • AHHHHH! this song brings back memories!!! i remember when i used to watch my brother play this game and he gave me the cd with all the songs of the game i loved listening to the songs i know all the lyrics to every song ^^ lol what can i say i was a 7 yr old girl that loved these cute songs and i still do love these songs my brother gave me the game after he was done playing it so i play it occasionally when i find the time love this video thanks for uploading kururu is so hilarious in this song

  • O.O holy crap, THATS her english voice. I'm only familer with the DS version, which doesn't get the voices translated. This is...not the voice I'd expect from someone who is practicly a loli.

  • man this game feels like a disney show to me.

singing through the storyline?MAN THIS GAME FEELS LIKE ITS A DISNEY MOVIE!!!

  • Haha, Disney has nothing on this. How many Disney movies have the plot be "the maiden saves the knight in shining armor"?

  • @LaZodiac Mulan and Princess and the Frog are good choices.

  • i love this song! i remember when i was 3 or something, my big sister would listen to this song on the playstation 1, then i would try to take the remote and mute it! but after a few years, i grew and started to enjoy the songs, especially the evil queen song :P oh, how i wish i could still listen to this in the ps1 :3

  • I like the song "YOU ARE MY ANGEL"., by cornets mother

    if i werent mistken

  • I want to play it again! I sang Thank You for a class talent show one year and came in second.

  • Omg. I remember this game, it was like my fave game ever!! thats how I came across final fantasy.. cause they are simular in a way!! Love it!!

  • cornier than Pollyana? either way....

Ok, this is definitely highly corny.

  • ugh.. i miss this one.

@ZOMGitsjun yess! its brings back memories :3

i remember, im with my big brother playing this one. :]

and i remember we beat this game..

but now, im gonna play this one again and without the help of my big brother! haha.

    Cornet <3 Ferdinand! haha

  • OMg.. I thought of the game and searched it here on youtube and voila! I remember this.. so much.. childhood memories. I remember i had an amazingly HUGE crush on Ferdinand. i think i was...11 or 12 at that time. LOL.

it's still so cute! i specifically love the songs. ^_^

  • I love how they couldn't be bothered with cinematics for their musical adventure. I looooove this game soooo much, even if it is cheesy.

  • That just came out of fucking nowhere.

  • @Gopherbassist just like every disney movie in the past lol

  • I just got this game and I love but I'm stuck

  • catchy tune

  • haha~! this brings back so many memories xD

  • And I absolutely loved the chemistry between Cornett & Kururu, the ending was pure awesomeness, to think Cornett used to mis-treat Kururu a lot, only if she knew who she really was right? ^^

  • This game was da bomb!

I'm a guy & though the game was created for a female audience it really got to me early on ^^

Also this game proves you don't need to save the world, defeat the extra-dimensional demon or go kill that tyrannical King to tell a great story, ego make a hit video game.

Cornett's "typical Girl's dream" of Marrying a handsome Prince is so cliche but the fact that she actually went out & find him then ultimately saving him was the plot twist that placed the icing on the cake

  • And being a believer in feminism though I'm a guy, I love the idea of women actually going off to find the man of their dreams instead of just sitting there waiting for their Prince in shining armor. Heck Cornett made Ferdinand look like a sissy in this game which as I said is very excellent :)

  • Ferdinand also had the voice of a sissy.

  • @nihilvox LOL!

    So true :)

  • @JuanMamaril

You just need pancakes. GIANT PANCAKES.

  • I prefer gigantic flans thank you very much :)

  • kinda miss this game :D

  • there is a nds version out now ;)

  • Really? Thanks for telling me :)

  • I prefer the Japanese one.

  • Cheesiest song ever or greatest song that ever existed?

  • Greatest Song In The Entire World Of Cutey Cheese Gumdrop Land.

  • @masterkill107 not moa. i said midboss!!!

  • @Sasuke83 Both.

  • @Sasuke83 I have always wondered why I still adore this song after nearly 10 years after hearing it for the first time.

  • Why did they decide to use the japanese voices in the ds game? it bugs me

  • Yeah I agree... they should have given you the option for either like the PS1 version did. Also I don't like that they changed the battle system...it's not really a strategy/tactics type game anymore. Not sure that I like it :/

  • Which version is better the ds version of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure or the ps version of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure?I think that the ds version is better than the ps version if you ask me.

  • This would make an awesome Broadway show!

  • ...wow, i wish they had more games that were musicals

  • Yeah I know :/ Lunar and this didn't really cut it.

  • omg, this song is so retared sounding, but i love it so much!!!! XDDDDD

  • i really love this game... the music is so cheerful

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Is it like Uber sad I used to have all these songs memorized? I liked the fact that my characters weren't just textspk, yknow?

  • Wow.. the english version isnt that bad o_O. I like the Japanese one, too, though. Both versions are really cheesy xD

  • Agreed 100%

When I bought the DS one, I was so disappointed that I couldn't switch it to English >:(

  • Man english voices sucks compared to japanese ones....

  • Sara Thomas is fucking amazing you damned weeaboo. It's hard for me to enjoy a song when I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE LYRICS. Plus the Japanese voice actors couldn't sing as well as the English speaking ones.

  • BROOKLYN RAGE!

The English voices aren't "bad", but the Japanese ones are better. For one, they sound more like actual people's voices and not some random voice actors brought in simply to sing a song despite not voicing the characters normally (see: Western animation). At least Cornet actually sounds like a 16-year-old girl in the Japanese version. >>

The song in general just plain sounds more natural in Japanese, which is not hugely surprising since that's how it was created.

  • If I had it my way, I'd like to hear it in Lithuanian.

But the Japanese voices still suck. You can't convince me otherwise.

  • Omg, brooklyn rage, really with seth and amy!?

  • I like the English songs best. Just couldn't get into the Japanese ones. Plus I like to sing along with it as well.

  • i agree coruneto

  • Omigosh, it's WAAAAAY Better in Japanese! The voices made me go blecch in this one.

  • I'll likely sound like a weaboo here, but I prefer the Japanese version, it's more catchy imho, and Kururu's voice is more cute instead of annoying.

But still, the English version could be a lot worse, so I should stop complaining. xD

  • I don't really care for Kukuru's voice...

  • Aww, the DS version may have the original Japanese soundtrack, but I wish they put in the English songs as well.

  • 0:50 she drop kicks that bitch to the wall, that is some skill not losing tone and all... as a whole im scared, but a part of me would love to be sitting on a bus next to some burely biker guy who is playing this on his DS without headphones and volume blasting... thats my dream there

  • I remember this game when i was little! i used to play it all the time.werid how fast time flies..

  • Gosh! I LOVED this game when I was little. Thanks sooo much for uploading!!!! ^^

  • .... ffs no.

  • i mean all the songs in this game.. ^^

  • Love the songs...

  • this song can uplift anyone

  • I loved this game about 7 years ago, I was 10 I think ( 17 now)

I wish I could play all my old fav games :(

  • You can, i don't see any reason why you can't

  • Well the reason would have to be, I cant find them at any pawn shop and such...

and I cant get my PS emulator working

  • If you have a PSP, you can buy it for that. It just came out this month I believe - I saw it in the stores last week.

  • You say that "rhapsody" came out for PSP???

  • I know it's out for the DS; I just ordered it! :D

  • DS only folks (says so on website!) shame though. Would have been cool on PSP.

Yeah, the Japanese version IS cute but a tad squeaky! The English one isn't so bad, fun to sing along to XD

  • that's soooo sad :( I would have bought it without thinking twice

  • Yeah so would I ! :( Did you play the original?

  • Bought myself a copy of the ps1 version just so I could play it every time my friends come over. I'm sadistic.

  • wow, PS is still alive? :D my friend played this just this year and she cried in the end.. hahaha

  • wow, creepy...

  • that puppet thingy must be f-in strong to carry a bathtub over a wall into cornet's room.

  • Love the song!

  • YAY! I love this game with all my heart! <3 <3<3<3

  • I wander if NIS ever explained how that fairy puppet had descendents in La Pucelle Tactics.

  • never mind, after seeing the ending of this game its just that much more confusing.

  • Magic: Same way that Prier fits into the ultra-uber-mini (and as well, the way the priest got away with giving that as a uniform)

  • LoL. NIS has made one wacky Multi-verse, love how the games all tie together in weird ways.

  • I feel said how La Pucelle and Disgaea connects. That means La Pucelle had a Bad End?

  • *sad

  • My guess is they used a post game side quest mechanic for it, she beat the game and saved the day, but kept hunting and fighting demons to such a level of efficiency that she killed over a thousand and became one. But yeah, pretty much.

  • its actually switched since Homard is a decendant from the royal family in Marl kingdom

  • cute

  • :P Cute.
