I remember seeing this trailer as a little kid and crying cuz I thought having to wait a month or however long it was before it came out at the time I saw said trailer was just too long to wait for the sequel of my all time favorite movie. Simba's Pride, though not as good as the original (no movie is) is a Hell of a sequel and waaay better than many sequels including those that made it to theaters! ... which I agree with cherribabii66 that it should indeed have made it into theaters.

I was expecting the worst for The Lion King 2... but especially in the musical Parts ("We are One", "He lives in you", "One of Us"), I was just shocked at how good it was.

@DoYouBelieveInMusic indeed. disney rarelly comes up with any trully original ideas, storywise, conceptwise theyre great, and disney has really always been about telling a story, and they do that job nicelly when theyre not sellouts. however, it would also be nice for them to make more original stuff (and not milk it like they did with mickey, and what theyre currently doing with tron) and while theres nothin wrong with merchandising, i just wish they put more heart into it.
