As an Alaskan, I've often seen wild Otters balancing rocks on their bellies, which they use to crack open shellfish. It's quite a sight.

Much like Ravens, Otters are incredibly resourceful and intelligent animals.

I'm grateful for all they've taught me about my home.

@Tezzathegreat Most animlas in zoos are there because they were injured or sick in some way. Having been in our care for so long they have become acustomed to being fed and looked after and would not survive out in the wild. So for their own safty we keep them in zoos where they can have a safe life. Even if it is somewhat less adventurous for them and yes I imagine they must be very bored. But i would prefer to be a bit bored than dead!

@Lawkill1 Quite untrue comments, many animals in zoos are perfectly healthy and have never even been injured or sick, they are there because zoos are run as buisness's many zoos dont even have charity status because they charge people a gate fee and therefore are cash rich. Many animals can be rehabilitated and released into the wild but are not because it would leave the zoos empty. Have a look at how many animals in zoos look depressed and also see how many develop cage behaviour.
