I disagree with Chomsky at around 9:22 when he starts talking about the American system founding. A lot of people do not do it justice on both sides. Before then the impact humans caused on their local environment was still large, but on a global scale the impact from GHGs from humans was small and the earth could remediate the impact. With population growth and expansive resource use, accumulation of GHG concentration has hastened and continues to rise (along with temperature)!

Water vapor is the largest "Greenhouse Gas", which accounts for 90% of the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect regulates radiation from the Sun and is necessary for a habitable planet, unlike the Moon or Mars.

Your numbers are wrong. CO2 accounts for .039% of the atmosphere, and is up to 390 parts per million, up from 280 just 100 or so years ago, a 39% increase. That is enormous.
That minuscule amount as you put it, is responsible for keeping the earth artificially warm and your ass from freezing, BECAUSE IT IS A GREENHOUSE GAS YOU DUMB FUCK
