Courts, Police, CPS and even the pediatricians are all connected. They "play the game". Lady in hallway complained how I was holding my child. The pediatrician yelled at me in his office. Stood my ground. Told him I would not be responsible for my actions in the tone and manner in which he YELLED and ACCUSED ME of something I had not done. He sat down and apologized. He ha tried to get me to make an incriminating statement against my child based on what the lady said. I put him in his place.
They know I am a non-comformist. I don't talk their talk or walk their walk. Control freaks and thugs and punks wearing suits, ties and uniforms.Looking to make a name for themself and to promote a program for their livelihood and job security. I mean, they are the ones who have a mortgage and married that CPS job. My family is set and they don't like it. I was very clear to them that I will not tolerate the CPS and Police targeting and profiling my familiy to justify "their" mortgage payment.
What do they want? They must be young officers. The Social sytem we live in is absolutely merciless to Fathers. We will be moving from here in the summer. I do not like all the controls and politics of a small city. They see to it that their kids get a front row seat to opportunity and the others fall into their program. So biased, that it is pitiful.

22Casey: I am a former Marine and Customs Officer. Own a house with two kids. Wife, I and familty financially secure. The first week we moved to a new city they (CPS) were over at our house. They know we are set and have money so they intruded into our lives on allegations from nosy neighbors and passerbys. They are all connected to the court looking for any reason to seperate our kids. Three CPS inquiries and 6 stops by the local police. Not cited, charged or arrested for anything.
I was just arrested by the police here in Warsaw Missouri. Case workers are in on this. The Benton County Police arrested me becuase I went to their office to file charges against them.
What a terrible tale! How sad that your life has been such a struggle due to this ridiculous ruling. Good luck to you in your continuing fight, Doug. I wish your family strength.

In my situation I am the biological parent,but I was abandoned for a decade the location of my child was kept a secret.During that time the mother gave custody of the child via the family court to a third party.
She got custody back and then I was ordered to pay child support,they destroyed my parental rights,and want money.
This is pathetic. I am in the exact opposite case as him. I am a father who has full custody of my two children. My ex is supposed to pay child support to the children....she owes me over $10,000 and yet has not paid anything for a year now. It is so ridiculous. Women who pay child support get a slap on the wrist and nothing more. But us men are put in jail for missing one payment and have to pay extremely high support when half of the time it was the women who screwed around and left.....

To be clear, it's not VAWA that is creating this man's problems. The problems stems from the welfare reform act and, more specifically, title IV-D. The incentives for the state to pursue child support collection are in federal funding and grants. The courts are incented to make CS awards as high as possible, the higher the award the greater incentive for state agencies.
