I have a very similar idea of evolution and emergence, yet i believe we are already part of a consciousness. essentially that the nations we are a part of are just as alive as you and I. Much like cells of a body we join together to make a larger consciousness. People perform different functions like organ cells in a body. Life is in it's nature scalar and it's ability to move up in the scalar level is dependant upon our ability to communicate with each other.

I don't believe that consciousness is something that could possibly be invented by the recipient, it just comes to be. Our brains are the result neurons and anons working in a network so tight that it creates a kind of unity. This idea is the idea of emergence; the idea that symbiotic relationships can become so interdependent that they actually (fuse) into a larger organism.
