I'm looking into the Borla S-Type Cat-back exhaust system. Does this include the S-Type Axle-back exhaust tip? Will I be happy with the cat-back system or will I have to buy new S-type axle-back exhaust to finish it off?
It's called cat-back and not cat to axle back for a reason =P.
You get the entire exhaust from starting where the cats end all the way to the end and including the tips. When you go to their site, you see the entire exhaust system you get when you buy it.
@mrperfection2k4 yes it does include the axle tips/. it also has an x- pipe which makes more power. ur stock h-pipe will come out. i have the full catback system installed on my car. its a lil bit pricey but it sounds great,
@Stangrocka302 Thanks! We actually designed the 3" system to be used with our long tube headers which are part number 17263. Since long tube headers change the sound dramatically, and also increase the volume of air running through the exhaust, some enthusiasts have asked for a 3" system designed to integrate with our headers. As far as the muffler design, it's closest to an S-Type but we didn't distinguish it because there's only one sound level for our 3" system.

@TheParramatic if u want the loudest Flowmaster go with super 10 if u think u could handle it i got those on my 04 mach 1 with just two cats and nothing but respect and horsepower if u want a more deeper muscle car tone go with super 44 second loudest Flowmaster my brother has them on his 03 mach 1with just two cats as well Flowmaster louder than borla borla just to quiet i had the stingers before and no sound!!!!!!

alright so just installed the ATAK and I must say that these videos do not do this exhaust justice at all. It is so smooth yet very nasty sounding. I honestly cannot keep my foot out of it. If your thinking about this exhaust and are on the fence i suggest going for it.

I just got the s-type cat back installed on my 2011 5.0. Those of you who are on the fence between the s-type and attak, the s-type is LOUD. Less raspy then the Attak. It sounds deeper. Fantastic demonstration video, exactly what a consumer needs to help make a decision. Just bought an '11 GT and my mechanic suggested a few exhaust packages, but how the hell should I know. This video sealed it for me. I'm going with a S-Type cat back, behind a Pro Charger Stage II.
I Must say,,Great, well explained Video..I personally Love The "Back Cackle" on the S Type and Atak...it has the old Glass pack type sound I remember as a kid. My Fowmasters sound great on My '03 GT, BUT, I will say, they do Drone on at the exact cruising speed I'm usually at. I always thought you guys did only riceburners, but now I'm a Convert to Borla... I'm going to order some of These for Mine...I hope they sound as nice with the 4.6 Liter. Thank You for the well done Video.
An outstanding video, the other performance companies really should emulate this video technique. It makes choosing a product very easy for the customer.
The video helped me decide, I just installed the touring on my 2011 GT. Perfect for what I wanted!!!! Well done Borla, and thanks for the hat that came in the box. They could add a stock car to the comp at the end, otherwise one of the best examples I've seen and I've been searching a lot.

Ive never wanted a Ford before.. especially a Mustang.. Ive always been a Jap or european car kinda guy.. Ford has come a LONG way.. and Its notable in their new line of cars. Needless to say.. i now want the 5.0 Mustang with that ATAK exhaust. The exhaust sounds beast!

Excellent video and very informative. I have owned Borla exhausts in the past, but having these comparisons just makes it so much easier. Fantastic demonstration video, exactly what a consumer needs to help make a decision. Just bought an '11 GT and my mechanic suggested a few exhaust packages, but how the hell should I know. This video sealed it for me. I'm going with a S-Type cat back, behind a Pro Charger Stage II.

I Must say,,Great, well explained Video..I personally Love The "Back Cackle" on the S Type and Atak...it has the old Glass pack type sound I remember as a kid. My Fowmasters sound great on My '03 GT, BUT, I will say, they do Drone on at the exact cruising speed I'm usually at. I always thought you guys did only riceburners, but now I'm a Convert to Borla... I'm going to order some of These for Mine...I hope they sound as nice with the 4.6 Liter. Thank You for the well done Video.

The video helped me decide, I just installed the touring on my 2011 GT. Perfect for what I wanted!!!! Well done Borla, and thanks for the hat that came in the box. They could add a stock car to the comp at the end, otherwise one of the best examples I've seen and I've been searching a lot.
