Since officer Edwards DID NOT aim his gun at the patrol officer, he WAS NOT in danger for his life, so WHY did he fire? This is crazy, and YES I believe race WAS a factor here.. If this is true, then the reponding units should have known that there is an Police Officer involved. But cops see an Afro-American running in the streets with a gun the first assumption is that it's a criminal.

It is not a crime to possess a firearm, particularly, an off-duty officer in pursuit of a suspect. Officer Dunton clearly was wrong to fire on Officer Edwards. There was absolutely no justification. Period.
