it's actually because Dan's Ultra Combo 2 has him move his body backwards which would make a cross up normally get moved back into the front same with Oni sometimes when you do Oni's ultra 2 a normal jump in that would be in front because he goes low with it they jump over you sometimes and you lose from getting hit from behind.

@pennpnil09 In this case it happens because Dan backs up before he does it. If you look closely you can see that right before it hits Akuma lands in front of Dan, who then pushes him backwards extremely quickly. It looks like a teleport, but it's not really.
