You gain a lot of strength by killing the bosses (or technically by grabbing the orbs that appear after you defeat them), so I do a lot more damage against Graham by killing Headhunter first. The final fight would take 2-3 times as long to do if I went straight to him.

u may try go directly to the final boss, and u'll find out that u make no damage to the final boss. I tried that before.

I get powered up from beating bosses, but not from normal enemies. Creaking skull is in my way so I naturally kill him, and without killing Headhunter Graham would take ~3 times as long.

Because there is a second or so after entering a new area that you can't move, but doing a backdash just before entering the area will make you travel the distance of the backdash during that time.

No, that's not even close to being as fast as wipping him. Especially considering that you'd have to avoid the rotating balls most of the time.

For kickdiving to be faster you would have to be able to do 22 kickdives in the time it takes for one whip hit, and it's only possible to do ~3 or something around that.

I'm surprised going up the tower from the inside is faster, it seems to much more complicated. Also, some nice close calls there in the fight with Graham but sheesh you have to whack him a lot before he reaches his final form. 5 stars.
