@KelanDWood It is very simple with no adjustments. Although the results are good, I'm sure other programs like final cut express would yield better results with tweaking the settings.

@Trsmoothie You are correct, I realized that after I shot the video. I was in a small cramped room and had the tripod as far away as I could get it. This is not the camera to use if you don't have a lot of room to work with. As you can see it was a bit out of focus.

Hi! So I have a green screen and have been having some trouble when using green screen. I also use iMovie '09. So right now I have a Kodak digital camera that I'm using as a camcorder. It works okay but the problem is that when I'm filming the color is always changing! My lighting is always consistent. I don't use any natural light. This makes it extremely hard to shoot and scenes longer then a few sec.! I was looking at getting the Flip UltraHD. Does it ever do that?

@silverkenon I used imovie 09. I think most video editing software will have some sort of chroma keyer. Search green screen here on youtube and you will find lots of how to videos. Good luck.

If you will notice my face is a little blurry. I think it is because I was too close to the camera.

Okay, you've sold me on this product. I've been debating whether I should go ahead and by the Flip UltraHD, but this video definitely persuaded me to buy it. Audio is extremely important to me, as well as the video resolution, and it seems to me that this little pocket video camera comes with both - which is awesome. I was wondering, though - does it make it really easy to upload to Youtube? And am I able to edit footage with Windows Movie Maker? Thanks so much for the upload.

From what I understand the Flip HD records in .mp4 and cannot be imported into windows movie-maker. However you can convert the files to .WMV with the flip software that comes with your camera.

Yes Youtube supports up to 1080p. The flip ultra hd is only 720p, but is considered HD. Search for videos on youtube about how to upload in HD. There is a lot of help on here. Good luck and keep on editing.

All I am using is some cheap green material I purchased from Hobby Lobby. You just need to light it evenly with no shadows. For best results try to stay a few feet away from the screen.Good luck with your green screen.

This was my first post with the flip hd. I'm thinking that the camera was to close to be in focus. You are right, I should have blurred the background image a little to give it the shallow depth of field look. The BG image is very high resolution.

clothing isnt the problem... (i often wear white shirts when filming) but the shadows are a huge problem for me... Thats why I'm planning on getting a third light

Thanks, It was really easy with imovie09. The main thing is make sure the green screen is evenly lit with no shadows. There are no adjustments, just drag and drop. If you look at my blues songwriting inspiration video you'll see some bleed through my shirt because it has a touch of green in it. Thanks again and good luck with your videos and songwriting.

I am using a piece of green cloth that I bought from a craft store. Just try to light it evenly and try not to cast any shadows on it.. There are no adjustments in imovie 09 that I know of. Good luck.

if you are using imovie you probably just need to go into the preferences before you export it and adjust the audio control, it might be on mono instead of stereo

Yes Samuel, I purchased it yesterday after watching yours and other videos. I think it will do what I want it to do. I'm not making feature films here. It's the first time I have tried iMovie 09. That's green screen with no tweaking. Amazing!

Wish I could stream live with it, but you can't have it all for two bills, not at this quality.
