  • I feel in love with this song after watching 40 yr old virgin

  • I like this song... still rock!

  • Somebody should remix/sample the chorus "This is the dawning of Aquarius" I love the vocals on that part.

  • 60,787 likes so far.

  • american horror story...

  • Kick a** vocals!!!

  • American Horror Story brought me here :D

  • Not that I don't like the "Let the sunshine in" part, but I do wish they could've kept the Aquarius part going for a little longer, love that part~

  • mystic crystal revelations...now,how cool does that sound?

  • I have this on 45 RPM as well. Got it from my older brother (I was just being born around the time this was released)

  • 2:27

  • Nice.

  • "the stars and constellations seem to slowly rotate around the Earth...'Sons of God'...revelation of truth and expansion of consciousness..."

  • thumbs up for the ending scene of The 40-Year-Old-Virgin

  • Let the sunshine reminds me of " whats the buzz" from jc superstar which has incredible Bass! this tune came out first I believe!

  • I remember hearing this on the AM radio in 1970 as a kid... Awesome. Thanks

  • happy NEW YEAR!!!

  • What a GREAT song, love it! Thx!

  • I didn't know Marilyn Mcoo and Billy Davis Jr. were a part of this group! (You Don't Have to be a Star to Be in My Show)

  • Orignally recorded in the USA by Liberty Records in 1969. It was released here in Brazil by RCA, thru this label.

  • Love this song, the lead guy really sings his butt off.

  • @romedaddy215 - From what I could tell, that was Billy Davis, Jr. on lead on the "Let the Sunshine In" part. (The lead on the "Aquarius" section, again from my ears, was Marilyn McCoo.)

  • does anyone know what the song is that sings let the sun shine in loads in the chorus and has two female backup singers thats at the end of quite a few films

  • Most interesting song and with the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing, seems to have a nostalgia about it.

  • ouví pela primeira vez essa musica em 1970!!!nunca mais à esquecí!!!já foi o tempo de boas musicas....como essa!!!

  • lool - luv ut

  • I'm singing this song in my chorus class and I sing the high parts, its pretty difficult and I am one of the only girls who can actually hit the note on the second "aquarius". But its really fun. :)

  • like bass and drums. to the comment below on vinyl

  • you really should let people rate

  • love it

  • love it !! THANKS for loading it up...

  • Yeah, this is a relic from back in the days of the lava lamps, love beads, President Ford, TM, mood rings, Earth Wind & Fire, always smelling like pot, platform shoes, Sonny & Cher, turtle neck sweaters, Bhagavad Gita, pea green and brown fat neckties (that is extra FAT neckties that your daddy love to sport), polyester beige bell bottoms, what's your sign?, ouigi boards, Brut 33, The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and when I was still in kindergarten, way too young to get in with it all - Doggoneit!!!

  • yeah oh so 60's

  • And, of course, when this song was released, The Fifth Dimension were already famous for "Up, Up and Away".

  • Marilyn McCoo is really gorgeous.

I loved this song in 1969. It's holding up pretty well.

  • This is one great song!! Yes, the vinyl brings out certain sounds that you would not hear on digitally compressed cd's.

  • killer bassline on "let the sunshine in" very 60's. love it.

  • great record, marvellous record, thank you very much for sharing!

  • love this song!!!

  • Outstanding song.

  • Vinyl RCA Records. The way it should be. That warm bass you cannot find in the digital CD format.

  • @Ibhenriksen - From what I can see, this pressing was actually by Compo in Cornwall, Ontario (which, in 1970, became MCA Records Canada).

  • The label is called "Soul City."

  • Yes, but that particular pressing looks like it was made by Compo - which handled Liberty and its various subsidiary and distributed labels at the time (including Soul City). And that catalogue number (SCR-772) also applied to the U.S.

  • Touche.

  • Soul City was sold to Bell Records in 1970 by the label's founder, Johnny Rivers, which meant that all future Third Dimension releases would be on Bell. And, in Canada, Bell was distributed by Quality.

  • And, I forgot to say that "Portait", in 1970, would be the Fifth Dimension's first release for Bell.

  • @VinylToVideo Soul City was a division of Liberty Records at the time.

  • fantastic song

  • Beautiful.
