@FjallRavenCFC Being born outside SW6, or London, or even England doesn't automatically mean you can't be a true supporter...if you love the club, know the great and not so great times of past and present, support the team through thick and thin etc, isn't that being a supporter?
No, you have to of experienced these times week in week out traveling all over England and Europe. If the kenyan president done that I'd class him as proper Chelsea. If there's a fella born bang outside Stamford Bridge it doesn't make him Chelsea.
All I'm saying is it's clear no one in this video has every properly followed Chelsea, if they had they wouldn't be singing cheesy songs like this.
@FjallRavenCFC So people who save up for years and spend thousands of dollars to fly halfway around the globe to go to one maybe two games don't count? I'm not discounting your point mate, but there is no one way to define a supporter.
Getting up early every weekend so I can go watch the matches with other Chelsea doesn't count for anything? How about the people on the West Coast of the US, getting up at 4:45 for matches? They aren't real fans?
@FjallRavenCFC A lot of us do as well...listen, you may be heading to the Bridge for the match this Sunday, and if you are I am incredibly jealous because right now that isn't a possibility for me. But I'm still going to be down at the pub, singing my hear out with fellow supporters, watching as we try and lift the cup.
To me that's being a true fan...doing whatever it takes to follow your team however you can
@FjallRavenCFC Also, the guy in the white T with the camera at around 0:07 has been a season ticket holder for years...but he isn't proper Chelsea according to you since he is in the video. The redhead next to him goes over at least twice a year for weeks at a time, and is the chairwoman of the entire Chelsea in America supporters club...but nah, they ain't proper Chelsea are they?
Yeah the season ticket holder is, there's a few proper Chelsea in America don't get me wrong. All i'm saying is the majority of the people in this video are not Chelsea in anyway, don't follow Chelsea and have just jumped on the bandwagon. Embarassing. Why do the ones with absolutely no link to Chelsea not support a local side?
@FjallRavenCFC I'm saying some of them do, but not everyone supports a local side, just like not everyone in England supports their local necessarily. I will agree that there are some bandwagoners (but that's true anywhere, not just America)...I just took exception to the generalization that all fans in America were essentially worthless.. That's all I've got to say because we're going to wind up at the same point eventually.
You can't comment on who is "proper" if you weren't there. End of story. You don't know any of their backgrounds, and the fact that the majority of the people in the video flew to Texas specifically to meet up with Chelsea friends they only get to see every few years is more than enough evidence.
the global elite? haha u conspiracy idiot. the ruling class who own the economy do not benefit from swine flu, they will lose billions through workers being sick. IDIOT

I can comment all I like. You're a fan of a different sport to me that's for sure. My football and your football are two very different things.

Then why don't you go comment on American football then? Why waste your time on real football?
