  • *GASPS* my name is lily!!!! thanks for the help i still suck at the guitar but hey who gives a crap!

  • bella!!!!

  • It's a lot easier if you use the A,D, and G strings instead of the E,A, and D. That way you won't have to awkwardly shift up so far. On the acoustic guitar, there's no need to shift up all the way to the 12th fret; it's not an electric.

  • Why aren't you famous?

  • Can i just use my nail instead of a pick? ive grown them long enough to just strike the string. i just keep losin my damn picks!

  • the chords arn't working for me, ( and please don't pull out, the it's because you're rubbish joke)

  • It would be amazing if you would make a video on how to play Ludo's The horror of our love : )

Your videos are really easy to learn from, so it would be quite appreciated!

  • you were awsome and i love u. 8] good job.

  • @beltran1690 aww thanks, you're awesome as well!! :3

  • hey lili can u teach me sunday morning by maroon 5

  • @808kenmasters I love that song! for sure! I'll try and get on that. I really need to stop procrastinating with my videos. (:

  • yamaha?

  • There is no such thing as an E#. Technically it would be just an F. Learn some music.

  • @countrybabe121892

Jeeze, my bad. I knew there was no such thing as an E#, but all charts to go past the 12th fret! And after 5 years I stopped taking lessons and self taught myself... maybe I should go back. But, obviously you know more then me (it seems)... so why are you watching this video??

  • @countrybabe121892 Chill the fuck out, babe.

By the way, there is such thing as an E#, they're called enharmonics. Maybe you should get a little more into that music theory before you go bashing on Miss SillyLili for stating an F chord in an extraordinary way. (:

She's doing great and she's adorable.

  • @countrybabe121892 And thus you have no videos...so stfu hahaha

  • @countrybabe121892 Dude! Your not the one making a video to show us so shut your damn mouth and have some respect!

  • @countrybabe121892

of course there is a chord named E# !! like in C# you have a E# and a F#, so you can't use a normal F. it's also to show harmonic when it's written. don't know if you understand, what i'm trying to say because im just learning english.

  • @countrybabe121892 I just want to point out to you there IS such a thing as E#. Yes, you are correct that is the same note as a F natural but in some cases it has to be a E#. Such as if you are playing in a key with a F# already in it (such as G), and you need to play a F natural and a F# in the same measure, you can make the E into an E#. This, my dear, is a magical thing called an accidental. And only lasts till the end of a measure. I'm afraid your the one who needs to learn some music.

  • I DONT WANT TO LEARN HOW TO PAY THEM

  • this was first recorded by phil phillips in 1959 young lady.

  • @gknopp1 actually yeah. Cat Power did a cover on it. The song "Sea of Love" Is on her record called "The Covers Record" I think everyone just supposes it's a cover since it's not a secret or anything. Cat Power has talent, she's an amazing singer, and i don't think people really notice. :)

  • I dont know why people leave such rude comments....this person is actually just trying to help....

  • you suck. the songs not even right. u cant hit your notes with ur voice or ur guitar

  • @shemadeitforme aww, i'm sorry. i hope i didn't kill the song for you with my horrible guitar and voice skills. T.T

  • pretty voice!!!

  • isnt e sharp an f?

  • Thanks for the easy lesson that song is going to be my wedding song. Now I can play it. Lucky I'm good at (Barre chords). Thanks again.

  • Power chords are for lazy people or hard rock stars. Man up.

  • wtf?..there are no power chords in this song which so ever.

  • @ihaveAfr0

im pretty sure in the description/video it says BAR chords. if not, that's what i meant. I'm not playing with power chords, they're completely different from a bar chords.

  • @iamsillylili

i know what bar chords are.

i didn't pass the :40 mark of your video because i didn't like the way it sounded..which to my ears and sight, were like power chords.

  • @iamsillylili

what's the interest of posting a "how to play" vid if it's with other chords!?!?

    And where is the chorus?

Cat power doesn't sing the chorus?

  • lol i love it

  • your shirt changed <3

  • Beutiful :) Thank you girl for this awesome lesson. It is really helpful

  • that was really helpful.. thanx a lot!

  • You're awesome

  • AAAaaah!!1 yay! Thank you so much Lili! I just came back to Santa Cruz and there's no guitar here (well there are probably hundreds but none mine lol) so once I get back home I'll definitely start practicing! I just can't seem to teach myself ANYTHING on guitar this is loads helpful! -Cynthia
