  • One down, a ton more to go. Now, lets build something more useful there, shall we?

  • The church was fine, just a reason to destroy it was because the so called priests have turned their backs to God. Stop your lying David, because it's putting your soul in very grave danger.

  • Tell the truth now. It costed more to demolish it than for the repairs. Another thing is that it would have lasted another 100 years in the state it was in. Everyone knows it, so stop the lies.

  • @danieljch1 This I believe may be true. Our bishops are deceiving us. The almighty dollar comes before Almighty God! Look at the Scandal the bishops caused trying to cover up the sexual abuse. Their incompetence has cost the church 2.5 BILLION Dollars and many souls. I am still a practicing Catholic. I give my money to authentic Catholic organizations. We are not obligated to obey evil bishops or heretical priests. Pray the rosary and stay in the light of the TRUTH.

  • It is such a shame to see something like this. A place where so many people were baptised, confirmed, married, and buried out of. Where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was once offered for the living and the dead. Now, reduced to a pile of rubble. A nickel says this church was demolished so the bishop can sell the land to developers. Another nickel says there would have been traditionalist Catholics who would have been happy to have that church!

  • @mackbee628 your right! I sent a letter to the pope when i noticed up for sale. Then the whole catholic church turned on me because God stopped them from selling the land and building a strip mall at it's location.

  • débâtir l'Acadie, la nouvelle mode, un hôpital par ici, une école par là, tiens, pourquoi pas une église? On appèle ça la désolidarisation de l'Acadie, notre nouveau trait culturel moderne.

  • I'd like to tell people sad about the destruction of this Acadian chuch, that this one, at least, was doomed because it Had been built of very poor quality sand-stone apparently. All the stones were erroding away.

  • I was there that day!!

It was freezing!! I remember when I was on my way to the house, then I saw that an I decide to go with my neighbour Allison Carroll!

  • Awesome I wish I could have operated that excavator

  • why tear down a church this sucks man good vid though i love watching houses being torn down but a church come on this sucks.

  • Whoo hooo one more down...many to go.

  • Disgraceful!, why do they have so little respect for the churches. many of them contain rare works of art, and its the house of God. YOu know in europe they turn old churches in to musiums or cultural buildings. in rome when they do work on a building they cover it up with a canopy that shows what the building undergoing work will look like so it blends in with the city, they also respect the house of God, and when a building is torn down they reuse whole unbroken peices to build with

  • i live next to the church that got torne down and it was beacuse not enough people went and the pillars in side of it where getting rotten so they took her down

  • renovation work can always be done, in some churches even though they are burned to the ground, the congragation restores it to its origianal state no matter what the cost, and some churches on the prarie just sit there for years yet they might be used once in a decade but they are an intrical part of a community so they people volenter to help maintain the churches many of them contained workes by this german painter though from the period as mentoned on pbs's churches of the prarie.

  • building looked perfectly fine before they started messing with it.

  • declining church members? front was sagging heavliy needed some major stone work and insurance was up? South Bathurst Church is in Excellent condition Compared to this and its next on the Demolition list but I think that it will be diasasembled for the wood? Why not convert to housing ,community center??

  • OMG that is so horrible. they shouldnt just tear it down. even though it was a bit tattered. should have just let it do what it wanted. I wonder how people feel who have some memories here. God isnt happy lol. Beautiful cruch by the way

  • That was a nice church! Why was it demolished?

  • As far as i know the mortar was crumbling between the stone, would have costed a few million to repair! front had a temp repair about 10 years ago to stop from collapse!

  • Visited New Brunswick and Bathurst in February -- was shocked to see the Church was not there. Thanks for the video. Born and lived on Rough Waters -- Laura Jamieson

  • I was baptized there! =D Who is this? Do i know you? =P
